Every time I come back to Venice, this city impresses me. The canals crisscrossing the city, and the locals using boats as their primary means of transport, give the city an exceptional look. The San Marco neighborhood is the most famous part of Venice, and for sure you have to visit, but I would not recommend staying there for the whole trip (except for the delicious hot chocolate at Café Florian). In fact, Venice is full of other exceptional places like the Ghetto, the Rialto market (a huge fish market), the Dorsoduro district, and the famous view of the Basilica Santa Maria delle Salute from the Ponte dell'Accademia, the pretty Cannaregio neighborhood, or even the two islands of Murano an…
