The site is huge (180 hectares), and I spent half a day getting lost between the courtyards and pavilions. Careful though, it gets very crowded, especially with Chinese tour groups in organized packs, so you better arm yourself with patience. If you put that little detail aside, it is a magnificent site. What really struck me is the level of detail: the painted ceilings with golden dragons, the gigantic red doors... If you are visiting Beijing, it is clearly not to be missed, just plan on getting there early.

It is after dark that Shanghai lights up and offers a show unlike anywhere else in the world. You can head up to the top of the Shanghai Tower, the third tallest tower in the world (632 meters high, no less), for about €25, and it is totally worth it! You can watch the Oriental Pearl Tower change colors, going from pink to blue... the world looks so tiny, and the cars are nothing more than little specs zipping by.

If you’re planning to have day trips from Osaka, maybe you might want to try visit Kobe. It’s just 30 mins ride by train from Osaka and it has beautiful seaside view. Also, you can try the Kobe Beef right in the city! Best time to visit Kobe Port is before the sunset. It has Starbucks nearby and you can enjoy the scenery there. You can also go up to the tower if you want!

High-end hotel where I stayed 2 years ago. Pros: spacious areas, comfortable rooms, terrace with a gorgeous view of the coast, same goes for the bar and restaurant, you can sit on the terrace with a sea view. A romantic spot par excellence. Very good breakfast with plenty of options, including fresh smoothies made to order. The hotel has a small private beach, which I believe is gravel or pebbles. A few rocks around, which makes it great for snorkeling and seeing fish. Small downside: the frequent and noisy passing of jet skis. Quiet location, definitely less lively than the old town of Dubrovnik. That said, you have to take a bus to get to the old town, good to know. Figure about ten min…

I had the incredible luck to visit the Great Wall of China during the off-season. It was 12 degrees below zero, but it was so worth it! Almost no tourists, bright sunshine, and stars in my eyes. Walking alone along the 21,000+ km of ramparts in that almost surreal silence remains one of my strongest travel memories. This Wonder of the World definitely earned its title!

We booked and fully paid for our stay back in January 2026. Our invoice literally stated: "total accommodation amount paid". Yet 3 weeks before departure, we suddenly received extra invoices for €200 and later €250. When we disputed them, our stay was ultimately canceled by the campsite itself. At first, Campings.com wouldn't even refund us and even responded with hostility. Only after we filed a complaint with the relevant authorities in Belgium and the United Kingdom (where campings.com is officially registered) did we get our money back. European and Belgian consumer regulations require that the total price and mandatory additional costs be clearly communicated in advance. If costs cannot…

I came to visit the Curonian Spit for a night, during which we slept on the beach. If you love unusual yet paradise-like landscapes, definitely do not miss visiting this national park... Imagine a peninsula surrounded by the sea, with a large pine forest right down the middle, and lined with fine sandy beaches... The sunset over the Baltic Sea was absolutely sublime! If you head that way, check out the Hill of Witches, a place full of legends where you can admire gorgeous sculptures of fantastic creatures straight out of Lithuania's rich folklore.

Austin, TX is so much more than a college town. Not only is it Texas’ state capital, but it’s also the live music capital of the world. From the many night clubs on Sixth Street to the vintage shops in the SoCo shopping district, Austin is full of fun and vibrant people that personifies Austin’s motto to “Keep Austin Weird”. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Town Lake, with an awesome view overlooking Lady Bird Lake. Great hotel and central location to everything. Just a bit of advice, please know that Austin is HOTTER than HOT in July and August!

Atlantic City, New Jersey is definitely a summer fun spot if you’re on the east coast in the United States. There are tons of casinos for adult fun, but nothing compares to the Boardwalk and Atlantic City Beach when it comes to family fun. If you schedule your visit at the right time, you’ll enjoy the annual Soar & Shore Airshow, formerly named “Thunder Over the Boardwalk”. Kids and adults alike will find the roar of the military jet demos and the aerial performances quite exciting and entertaining!

On top of being more than spectacular, this place really gives off a slightly mystical vibe. It is incredible to look at all these rock formations and just sit facing the sea to take in all the beauty that nature has to offer. Walking around the area is well worth the trip, and taking the time to visit at a relaxed pace is really nice. Doing it with a guide lets you get all the little stories and associated myths, so I highly recommend it!

Several experiences with Ubigi, in Japan and the United States so far, and honestly, I have zero complaints, everything works to perfection! Always had data, even out in the middle of nowhere in Death Valley. For Japan, having tried local eSIMs, the difference is totally night and day, you can go with your eyes closed!
