I had booked a flight from Marseille to Milan with my family of 5 people.We wanted to check in online, but the website was glitching so we didn't do it ahead of time. Arriving at the airport, the check-in desk was closed and we had to ask to get checked in. We were there 1 hour and 30 minutes before the flight, which was delayed on top of that.We were asked to pay about 50 euros per person to check in because they considered it was past the deadline. In total, an extra 250 euros!!!!!They wouldn't listen about the issue we had online.I called customer support several times and they hung up on me.Outrageous practices and appalling customer service

I visited Rottnest Island during my year in Australia. Even in the rain, it was gorgeous, but honestly, you really need to go when the weather is nice to enjoy it to the max. The island is 25-35 km from Perth, with a ferry ride of 30 minutes to 1h45 depending on the type of boat. It measures 11 km long by 4.5 km wide, which makes it perfect for a day trip. The best way to explore is by bicycle. The full loop is about 22 km and takes 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Rental costs 36 AUD per day for an adult, helmet and lock included. The island is car free, which makes the ride peaceful and safe. The quokkas are super cute. These adorable little marsupials are concentrated near the ferry arrival and are naturally curious. They will pose for your photos no problem. Heads up: it is FORBIDDEN to feed or touch them. Even though they are friendly, they are wild animals that can bite and often carry diseases like salmonella. Most human food also harms them. Let them come to you, be patient and quiet.

In Marseille, there is a special atmosphere. It is a city of departures and arrivals to and from the world, and at the same time it has a Provençal tradition that you see when you watch the people who live here, even though it is getting a bit sanitized in certain neighborhoods. The immediate proximity to the sea and the presence of beaches makes you feel like you are on vacation pretty much all year round. I recommend the traditional markets to truly feel the soul of Marseille. Marseille is also a city of contrasts with upscale neighborhoods like the ones up in La Valentine and the housing projects.

I rented a car at Charles de Gaulle Airport last July. Upon arrival, the rental company refused to give me my car because my driver's license was creased. I checked with the other rental companies nearby and found out it was a bogus excuse because all of them accepted my license. However, the rental agent gave me a form to get a refund from Auto Europe. So I submitted a claim on the Auto Europe website for this refund. I first received a series of bizarre messages for a while. Then, after submitting two tickets to customer service, I received no response for almost three months. A gorgeous little village in the Nice hinterland, not to be confused with Carros Ville, which is definitely less charming. A bit of a climb will take you up to the medieval village, where you will find narrow streets and pretty stone houses, with a sublime view of the sea and the mountains. Some really good restaurants like La Forge or the little creperie. There are tons of festivals and shows in the summer, especially in the small amphitheater. You also have a nice walk to do, a loop of about an hour starting from the large parking lot that takes you through the forest and the ruins of an incredible mill!

If you love hiking, backcountry camping, and nature, welcome to Queyras! You cannot help but fall in love with the beauty of the landscapes... A large part of the trails is generally accessible, much less technical than Mercantour for example! With magnificent viewpoints: Lac de Sainte-Anne and Lac Miroir near Ceillac (a gorgeous village, definitely go check it out!) and Saint-Veran. I would go back in a heartbeat, this regional park is full of wonders to discover. I have only seen it in the summer, but autumn must be stunning with its larches, and the spring blooms too... I think you can easily come back and still be completely captivated.

Along the Atlantic coast of South Carolina, is a strip of sandy white beach called Myrtle Beach. The water is warm and usually clean. It’s a great place for swimming or just lying out in the sun. You can also see tons of sailboats. If you go, please know that it is usually very crowded during the summer months, as it is a very popular vacation destination.

You can't get more low cost than Ryanair, you can leave for 15€ but as a result you get all the extra fees and bare-minimum service. In itself, no surprise there. For my part, a catastrophic experience when our flight was canceled where the only solution offered was a flight 5 days later, no accommodation and zero compensation. We had to find a convoluted way to get back by making a detour and paying out of pocket for a hotel and extra flights, with zero support from the airline. The sneakiest part is that they deleted my booking from my customer account, which makes claiming insurance almost impossible. It wasn't in our original itinerary, but we just wandered into the museum by chance (it's free, worth noting!) and what a great surprise! First off, it is huge and packed with exhibits of all kinds, covering every theme you could possibly imagine! History, Culture, Science... Plus, the interior architecture is really cool. There is something for everyone, kids and adults alike, and it is a really great visit to make in Edinburgh.

I went to Edinburgh without really knowing what to expect. Several things surprised me: - The topography: built on ancient volcanoes, there are several hills and it is sometimes steep, but above all spectacular I think - The dark colors of the buildings: I think the stone used for construction is porous. So they quickly pick up grime and mold, and many buildings and monuments look dark... I guess that adds to the haunted city, dark city vibe, but it is not great for colors - The main train station, an urban eyesore: imagine, between the palace and the royal castle of your capital, you build a railway station, with its sheet metal roof, its numerous tracks... At Voyages de Luxe®, we absolutely recommend visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, which has become a must-see stop on any trip to Egypt. We were hesitating between several destinations for our 2 weeks of vacation as a couple, and honestly, we do not regret at all having given free rein to the Voyages de Luxe agency in Paris. Right from the first conversation, we felt like we were not talking to a basic salesperson, but to someone who knew Jamaica inside and out. When I was looking for a last-minute hotel in Edinburgh last August in the center, everything was super expensive. Makes sense, since the Fringe Festival brings in tons of people. I didn't want a dorm bed, and this hotel ended up having the best rate. The name is misleading, because you expect it to be a residence just for students.
