When they sell you the subscription, it sounds great, there are Prime deals and they tell you that you will receive discount vouchers in your wallet on their app. I wanted to book and I see that I have one 10% voucher with a promo code for any hotel booking. I go to book, I enter the promo code, and it says code does not exist. I call customer service and they tell me I have to fill out a claim form. On May 30, 2026, I filled out the form. Today is June 8, 2026, and still no answer. So I decide to call. I visited the memorial twice, once as a child and again as an adult. It is very informative, packed with details and historical testimonials, and you learn a lot about the history of the Berlin Wall. I especially appreciated the museum's invitation to reflect on the nature of democracy, the concept of freedom, and the necessity of popular revolt. And I must say that what really struck me were the stories of the escapes, and the people who made it out: hidden in suitcases, under a car hood, inside a surfboard. It is impossible to miss the Louvre when you visit Paris. This museum is huge, and one of the most visited in the world, and the collections it presents speak for themselves. It is impossible to see it all in one go! For any fan of art, history, or Egyptian antiquities, its halls are an endless source of wonder, discoveries, and walks that feel out of time and out of this world. You will come for the Mona Lisa, and you will come back for a thousand more discoveries!

Bought a gift voucher in NOVEMBER 2025 for Christmas to be used for an experience at an artisan offering a coffee roasting workshop. Months went by without being able to book (no dates available) on Funbooker, even though dates were open on other sites. We then called the artisan directly, who informed us they HAD NOT BEEN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THEM SINCE SEPTEMBER 2025. Funbooker's reaction: their terms and conditions state that in case of non-delivery of services, only store credit is possible. As a local from Rennes, I can only recommend Place des Lices. You have to check it out on Saturday morning for the food market, which is not only the biggest in Rennes, but also one of the largest in France. You can spend a great time there, wandering between the stands of fruits, vegetables, produce, international food, and all kinds of small-scale farmers. It is also a must-do in the evening, not far from the famous rue de la Soif and its (very) many bars that promise a good time!

I really liked this city of art and history that is off the beaten path! Ferrara offers a historic city center where you can bike around, which is a must! I especially loved the Castello Estense, a real fortress with its towers and red brick arches. A major plus for the city is that the absence of cars allows for a peaceful visit, and on top of that, the city has some great places to eat, as is often the case in Italy!

For me, Milan is an economic and international metropolis. This might appeal to fans of shopping and urban vibes. I am going to pass, even though you have to give it credit for its assets like its fashion boutiques, the remarkable architecture of the Duomo, and the beautiful Vittorio Emanuele gallery. Furthermore, culture is definitely present between its museums and the famous La Scala theater. I find that there are much more endearing cities in Italy.

Fontenay Abbey is the oldest French monument listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site! I understood why when I learned the construction date: 1118! It is quite something to still be able to admire this monastery nestled in the middle of nature. That is what I liked best here, the forest right at the edge of the site, you can head directly out onto the hiking trails from the abbey...

Even though we live in the Paris area, we spent 2 nights at this hotel in the middle of August with our 4-year-old daughter, and I have such great memories of this trip. Why this hotel? It is really close to the Disney parks (a free shuttle makes the trip in about 10 minutes) and you can enjoy the attractions as soon as they open without having to get up at the crack of dawn. You can also keep the magic going in the evening by dining at Disney Village (same thing, return on the free shuttle until late at night). And we also spent a whole day at the hotel's water park. Rome is a city of superlatives, where everything is just "more." Its incredibly rich history, remarkable food, and generous sun. You really need to set aside enough time to appreciate its incredible depth. Honestly, the must-see sights are way too crowded for my taste. My advice is to prioritize the morning or the evening if you want to visit the Trevi Fountain or Piazza Navona. Finally, avoid the summer, as it is just too hot and exhausting with all the crowds.

This little typical village with its medieval charm is the perfect base for a nature getaway in the heart of the Cévennes. I really like that you can find all the services you need to organize your stay here. It has a real village vibe with its bars, terraces, and small shops. Plus, you can head out on foot directly onto the hiking trails! After that, you just have to choose between the Causses or deep forests.

Montpellier, c’est mon quotidien : entre les apéros place du Marché aux Fleurs, les balades sous les platanes du Peyrou et l’énergie des facs. On y vit à l’extérieur, été comme hiver, et l’accent chantant rappelle qu’on est bien dans le Sud. Une ville à taille humaine, où tout se fait à vélo. Ici, on ne s’ennuie jamais.

Montpellier is clearly the "big" city I prefer in the south of France. I understand why it is so dynamic. In addition to enjoying a sunny climate, Montpellier is beautiful, cultural, modern, and offers quick access to the sea (direct bike paths). Special mention for the old town, the historic heart located at the center of the largest pedestrian area in Europe!

I think Death Valley is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Desert stretches as far as the eye can see, and absolutely majestic viewpoints, plus tons of completely different places to see: hikes in the canyons, sand dunes, incredible rock formations, dried-up lakes... My favorite will always be Dante's View, which overlooks the Badwater Basin. Even at the end of October, it was pretty hot for hiking, I do not even want to imagine it in the summer! Stop by the visitor center in Furnace Creek to get all the information you need for your visit!

Amargosa Valley is on the route between Beatty and Las Vegas and one of the junctions to get to Death Valley. You are in the middle of the Nevada desert, not many inhabitants around, but a few fun points of interest! A casino lost in the middle of nowhere, a pretty Ash Meadows national park, and the famous Devil's Hole, whose history is quite incredible and is sincerely worth looking into, with its unique ecosystem. But as for the place itself, it is completely fenced off and in the end, you do not see much. If it is on your route while coming down from Death Valley and you have the opportunity to stop there, go ahead, but do not make a detour of hundreds of miles to go there specifically...

While passing through the area, we took an afternoon to explore the region, and more specifically the Carnac Stones. Upon arriving at the site, we quickly realized that a guided tour was a must. Without one, it is impossible to get close to the stones, feel the atmosphere of the place, or realize the massive task it took to create this site. There was plenty of space since we were not there in high season, but I recommend booking in advance during peak season and bringing a small bottle of water when it is hot out.

Built on a hill, the Saint-Pierre Cathedral of Vannes dominates the city. Like many cathedrals, it has suffered in the past. Sometimes destroyed, sometimes left to its own devices, numerous restorations have allowed it to weather the tests of time one after another. And you can see that during your visit. We were able to observe a mix of architectural and decorative styles, a sign of a long evolution over time. Do not miss the Saint-Sacrement rotunda chapel, a side chapel in the shape of a rotunda in the Italian Renaissance style, which is apparently very rare in Brittany. After the visit, the cathedral is a perfect starting point for discovering the old town of Vannes.

Vannes is a beautiful discovery in the Gulf of Morbihan. As a historic Breton city, it has managed to keep traces of its past, like the ramparts that encircle the old town, the half-timbered houses, and the small cobblestone streets. Different routes are offered to help you discover the city in the best conditions. There is nothing like a good sweet crepe and a bowl of sweet cider after a day of exploring to recharge your batteries. The shopping streets are very lively, and many artisan shops offer various regional products. We return to Vannes regularly with pleasure, and the whole family is thrilled to go back!
