The cottage was clean, but I was a bit disappointed by the pool. It is pretty small and it is kind of chaos in there. I would have liked it to be better controlled by the staff. And be careful, the indoor activities are not all grouped in the same place. For example, you have to travel to get from the pool to the Action Factory or the farm. Interesting perks: visiting the nearby fishing village and Amsterdam is not too far away.

In a fishing village that is pretty well known in the Netherlands, this small museum that does not look like much is a nice surprise. You can see how people lived back in the day and it is informative.

Short weekend in Rome, with a guided tour as the highlight that let us learn so much about this incredible city. Our guide found historical anecdotes to share at every street corner (almost literally!).

I used Civitatis for a walking tour of Rome. We ended up with a super interesting and informative guide who had so many historical anecdotes about the places we visited. For a city like Rome, there is just so much to learn with all that history, so it would have been a shame to miss out on this experience.

More than Venice, which has been completely transformed into a museum, I would recommend Florence for a romantic getaway. The city, its surroundings, and its atmosphere will put you in the best state of mind to experience moments full of romance, without any stress.

I am not sure if it is just because of summer vacation, or if it is like this all year, but I get the impression that this city lives to have fun and party. I went out every night of the week and I never felt like the city was going to sleep. As for the rest, the city did not seem particularly beautiful to me, and it also smells like s*** sometimes (water restrictions that prevent cleaning?).

No particular issues to report with the rental. There are indeed a ton of agencies being compared all at once, and my reservation was correctly registered by the final rental company (phew!). Just a small, silly remark: the site is poorly translated! How does it work if we have to talk to customer service on the phone: in English, in German??

Nice beach, but nothing to write home about. The water isn't crystal clear, it's cold, and the sand is nothing special. So, yes, there are colorful umbrellas and beach huts with the names of movie stars. There are also restaurants and cafes that charge the same prices as the fancy neighborhoods in Paris. Anyway, like I said, nice, but the reputation is really not deserved.

A world famous beach for its role during the Second World War, you would be wrong to limit this place to just its history. It is also a stunning spot, a large sandy beach with cliffs and greenery as a backdrop. Very pleasant for relaxing and taking a walk. Of course, you can take the opportunity to learn more about the historical events that shaped the region.

A beautiful city that has managed to preserve and showcase its historical heritage. Neighborhoods that have kept their authenticity and identity despite the tourist activity. And then, between the cultural visits, beach activities, and relaxing by the sea, there is plenty to do.

This white sand spit jetting out into the Adriatic, with the forest in the background, looks like it came straight off a postcard. You will have to be prepared to share this beach with a lot of people, though.

The Croatian capital is interesting to visit, but you can see it pretty quickly and I preferred other destinations in the country. To see: the upper town with its old cobblestone streets, its flower-filled cafe terraces, St. Mark's Church, the Strossmayer promenade, and its view overlooking Zagreb. The lower town with its monuments, palaces, and museums (I admit that I didn't visit any, so I wouldn't know which to recommend).

Located at the tip of Istria, Pula has been occupied by various civilizations, most notably the Romans. You can still find remnants of this past, like the amphitheater. There are a few museums to visit as well. Of course, there are also beautiful beaches to enjoy the Adriatic. A positive point, not too many big concrete complexes.

The history of Croatia and Istria is relatively unknown in France. With its collections of ancient artifacts, you can dive into the different eras that followed one another: prehistory, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians, the Austrians... Informative!

This Roman amphitheater has a reputation for being one of the best preserved. Indeed, the outer wall made of arches is almost intact. Rising 3 levels high, this ring is impressive in its height and dimensions. However, unlike the Colosseum in Rome which still contains its seating inside, the one in Pula is empty. That disappointed me a little.

I do not understand the success of Tunis in this ranking. The city is dirty, and the shopkeepers never stop pestering tourists to sell their products for 10 times the price. Tourists are not cash cows...

If there is one thing I love doing in London, it is shopping. There are clothing boutiques for every taste. You can find the latest trends here before anywhere else in Europe. It is not for nothing that Beyonce takes a few hours out of her European tour to go shopping in London! On top of that, you can find some really, really great deals!

Going for winter sports, heading to the mountains... Spontaneously, you don't really think about this type of activity when you go to Brazil. So, yes, as far as I know, there are no real ski resorts in this country. That being said, not too far from Sao Paulo, the Ski Mountain Park is a pretty successful leisure center that recreates the setting of a mountain resort where you can enjoy different sliding sports and thrill-seeking activities (tree climbing, rides...). Teens will love it. Going there with Brazilians is a great way to share some fun and laughs. However, I admit that on my own, I would not have gone to this park.
