I didn't go inland in this park (which looks very desert-like and arid). However, I went on a boat trip along the coast, with several stops for snorkeling with a guide who knows the best spots. This was the highlight of my trip to Sharm El Sheikh. You see thousands of fish of all shapes and colors, plus coral reefs that are also every color imaginable. Bonus: we were there in December, and with a light wetsuit, I didn't feel cold at all. One of the best snorkeling excursions I have done so far.

Between the roller coasters, the rides for kids and adults, the zoo housing exotic animals, and the natural setting with plenty of greenery and flowers, the atmosphere of this theme park is special. I find it particularly well suited for families. Kids and parents have a great time together there. Others won't be bored, but might perhaps find something better.

There are different types of activities to do in this theme park and there is something for everyone, including thrill rides, calmer rides, and shows to see. Regarding the rides, I loved the Silver Star, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Europe, as well as the Euro-Mir, a thrill ride that offers a stunning view of the park. The shows on offer were also good quality, mixing acrobatics, music, and special effects. The different zones of the park represent various European countries, with quite a few nice little details to discover in the scenery.

This Center Parc is accessible from Paris in less than an hour by car (in light traffic) and offers a real escape. You could easily think you have changed continents, just relaxing and taking a break. Watch out for the prices, which sting a little...

Historic cathedral for the country where the Kings of France used to be crowned. It is among the most beautiful cathedrals in France. If you are in the area, it is a must-see in Reims, just as much as the Champagne cellars.

A masterpiece of Roman architecture and engineering, this bridge is an ancient aqueduct that was used to transport water over long distances back in the day. You will be impressed by the multi-level arch construction. Just remember that this was built 2,000 years ago. It is still standing. Those Romans were genius builders!

Not everyone knows this, but there is a restaurant at the top of the Tour Montparnasse open to the public that gives you a panoramic view of the capital. The meals are expensive for what you get, but you don't go there for the food, you go for the location and the view. You are at one of the highest points in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre in sight. It is worth the trip, especially for a date night.

The place is really beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained (I believe it is relatively new), with a successful effort put into the decor to make it look authentic and period-appropriate. You feel like you have been transported back to past centuries. I found the staff to be really professional and welcoming. The only minor downside is that, on foot, it is a bit far from the attractions and shows. So yes, there is a free shuttle to make the trip, but I had to find something to complain about!

Between 2 days spent tanning on the beach, it would be a shame not to take advantage of your trip to learn more about the history of Sardinia. This small museum will teach you a lot in a short amount of time. Educational and well done without being very big.

A discovery full of surprises, between the cultural traits, the language, the architecture of certain houses, and dishes inherited from France mixed with distinctly modern, North American influences. If it weren't for the freezing winters, this could be a place to settle down.

Environmental museum known for its dome and 360-degree screen. I just summarized the most impressive things to see. The exhibits themselves are pretty average. For adults who aren't Quebec residents, it is nearly 22 Canadian dollars for admission, and that is a steep price for what you actually get to see.

Even though I find the price a bit high for a 3-star hotel (about €150 ($162) a night for a room with 2 beds when I went), I am ultimately very happy with my stay at this hotel. It is in a quiet area, very close to the museums and not too far on foot from the center. The breakfast is top notch, the rooms are comfortable while feeling modern, and the building has charm. To top it all off, the staff working there are really kind.

As for the location, nothing to complain about. It is great for visiting the center of Amsterdam. The breakfast buffet is not bad either. On the other hand, I have to admit that I was expecting classier rooms, given the price and the 4 stars of the establishment. The bathroom is pretty small, for example.

For those who love the great Dutch painters (in my case, I really like Vermeer), the Rijksmuseum is a must-do on any trip to Amsterdam. There are really so many paintings to see, but also sculptures and craftsmanship. Quick tip: get your ticket in advance (order online, buy at an office, etc.). It could save you a lot of time at the entrance.

Large cities in Northern Europe often have "grand squares" in their centers where the most beautiful buildings sit side by side in a competition of appearances. I am thinking in particular of Brussels, where the Grand Place really left an impression on me. If I understood correctly, the equivalent for Amsterdam would be Dam Square. I had built up a bit of an idea in my head about this place. Foolishly, I told myself, The Netherlands is richer and more populous than Belgium, so I am going to be blown away by Dam Square... ... And well, actually, not really. Yes, the square is beautiful, it is worth a visit, and given its location, you will inevitably pass through there at some point anyway.…
