This is one of the most beautiful monuments in Cordoba, and certainly the most unusual. The architectural mix resulting from the Muslim and Christian religions is very surprising. I thought I was walking into a mosque, but inside, the place looks more like a cathedral. I really loved this combination of cultures, which makes the place unique. Remember to book online before your visit to avoid the line and to download the audio guide, which is pretty well done, onto your phone.

I was fascinated by the visit to this unique museum. I learned a lot about the daily life and history of the Romani people in Granada. I enjoyed the recreations of these fascinating underground homes, which are partially furnished. As with all sites in the Sacromonte neighborhood, it is a bit of a climb to get there, but you will be able to enjoy a superb view. It is a real local curiosity that does not attract too much of a crowd. Do not miss it.

I visited this monastery on a friend's recommendation and I loved it. Less well known than the Alhambra, this beautiful place offers a soothing break that invites meditation. The cloister and its small garden are charming. The adjoining church is also worth a look. I really liked the refreshing atmosphere and the richness of the decor, with some pretty frescoes. I recommend downloading the audio guide, because there are very few explanations provided along the route.
Surprising sacred caves

This beautiful abbey is a bit far from the city center, but it is worth the trip. Wear good shoes for the walk up, or take the bus to get closer. I loved the cloister, it is very peaceful, and the view over Granada is lovely. But my most memorable takeaway is the walk through the sacred caves, where martyrdoms took place. These caves house surprising underground chapels, including the one of the Piedra, which contains only a large stone. According to the legend, women just have to kiss it to find a husband.

A magical place! You can't miss it if you are in Granada. The Alhambra is a site of great architectural and artistic richness. I felt like I was in a One Thousand and One Nights fairytale. I didn't know much about Islamic art, and it was a real discovery for me. I loved the fortress and the Nasrid Palaces. Remember to book your ticket several weeks in advance and pay attention to the tour options to make sure you have access to the entire site (gardens and Nasrid Palaces included).

This is one of my most memorable experiences in Granada. What a wonder! The setting is magnificent, very well maintained, peaceful, and feels like a totally different world. I loved the reflecting pools and the fountains. I went in the spring and it was not too crowded. Plus, these gardens offer pretty views of the Alhambra. A must visit.

For me, this is one of the must-see monuments in Granada. The exterior facade has some very pretty, intricate details and the interior is breathtaking. I really loved the light, which is very bright thanks to the white columns and the vibrant stained glass. The sculptures, the gilding, and the dome are sumptuous. I recommend taking the time to see the chapels and the treasury. I found the audioguide quite useful for understanding the history of the monument, which is not very detailed otherwise.

The main tourist square in the city! You will definitely end up here. I really liked the architecture, the old buildings are beautiful. But I was a little disappointed by the atmosphere. Next to the traditional buildings, you find a lot of fast food chains, which ruin the historical feel of the place. It is a lively square and packed with tourists, so I recommend going early in the morning to enjoy the quiet.

People had told me about this museum and Picasso's Guernica. It is impossible not to be impressed by that work, even if I do not appreciate all of the artist's paintings. The museum also houses plenty of other paintings worth seeing, especially some by Miro and Dali. It is also a great way to discover a few other Spanish painters. I went through the visit right after the Prado Museum and I do not recommend seeing both in the same day. My feet and eyes were way too tired to fully enjoy everything by the end of the day.

As a fan of Renaissance paintings, I could not miss this museum and I loved the experience. The only downside is that it is impossible to see everything, even in one day, so you have to make some choices. I focused on European painting and I still have wonderful paintings by Velasquez in my memory, like Las Meninas, or even Goya, Rubens, and El Greco. You do not know where to look! Remember to book your tickets in advance and count on at least three hours for your visit. I will return with great pleasure.

When it is really hot out, this huge park offers a very soothing stroll. I spent several hours there and still did not see it all. The place is clean, very well laid out, and features pretty views with its lake and fountains. It also houses magnificent buildings, especially the monument to Alfonso XII and the Crystal Palace. You can go rowing, but I did not have the time. Whether you want to enjoy the quiet or just explore this splendid site, do not miss it.

Arriving at this massive square with its remarkable architecture really impressed me. The old buildings look beautiful at the end of the day with their orange color. It is always a lively spot thanks to its restaurants, shops, and many events. I do not recommend eating there because it is expensive and you will find much better food elsewhere. But for enjoying a drink on a terrace, it is the perfect spot.

For me, this is the must-see spot in Toledo. The architecture of the monument is sublime. I really loved the courtyard, which is sumptuous, and the patio. For just a few euros, it is possible to see the palace, the gardens, and the fascinating Army Museum, which houses a rich collection. Plus, the Alcazar offers some beautiful views of the city. I recommend setting aside two hours to enjoy the place.

Visiting this historic symbol of Barcelona was a bit of a letdown for me. There is not much to see inside, and if you have to pay, I suggest you save your money. Take advantage of the free entry times, especially on Sundays, if you want to check it out. Only the lovely views of the city and the port of Barcelona are worth the trip. For me, it is skippable.

I was curious to check out this house, and I was a bit disappointed. I think it is a shame that you cannot access it directly and for free, because the interior visit takes about thirty minutes. While it is interesting to immerse yourself in Gaudi's daily life, the tour lacks a bit of information. In my opinion, you can easily just stick to the pretty exterior facade.

It is one of the precious testaments to Gaudi's life in Barcelona. The exterior facade, all wavy, is very surprising. I highly recommend visiting the interior to extend the experience. All the decor seems alive. The roof, with its fascinating warrior figures that act as chimneys, offers a superb view of the neighborhood. Not to be missed if you love architecture.

I am not a huge Picasso fan, but I really liked this museum, which changed how I see the artist. I learned a lot of things about the painter's life, which helped me better understand the diversity of his work. The museum itself, located in an old palace, is gorgeous. I spent about an hour and a half there. A must-see to discover or rediscover Picasso.

This is my favorite neighborhood in Barcelona. It is home to Art Nouveau treasures that are worth a visit, as well as the must-see Sagrada Familia. Thanks to its wide, well-maintained avenues, it is also a very pleasant place for a walk, shopping, or having a drink in the evening. You can also find plenty of local shops and good bookstores. I love wandering around there.

I went there right after visiting the archaeological site. The museum is fairly small, but it has some really beautiful pieces. It would be a shame to miss it. I was impressed by the Charioteer of Delphi, the marble Kouroi, and the sphinx. The chronological layout makes it easy to find your way around. Plan on about an hour and a half to see everything.

I was curious to discover this palace that served as a residence for Sissi. Just as I imagined, the setting is a real haven of peace. I really loved the gardens, which aren't very well maintained, but they offer a beautiful view of the sea and feature magnificent statues of Achilles. Unfortunately, the interior of the palace is under construction and cannot be visited.
