For vacations abroad or far away, it is great. No need to make the trip with your own car. You can take a plane or train and then pick up your rental car on-site. They have offers for just about every train station and airport.

Unlike quite a few other archaeological sites in Mexico, these are very well preserved. It gets pretty crowded. Did you know that during the equinoxes, the play of sunlight and shadow makes it look like a snake is moving down the edges of the pyramid!

The city and the slums have spread right to the gates of these massive pyramids. A truly striking contrast when you arrive, with the modern city on one side and the desert on the other. Impressive site.

In a relatively wild and desert-like natural setting, these remnants of the past, carved directly into the rock, will impress you. With age, you would think the stone took this shape all on its own, as the traces of the human hand have faded. Avoid the summer, it is a furnace.

I prefer Fréjus over Saint Tropez or Cannes, it is a little less bling, more authentic. Of course, it is still a seaside resort on the French Riviera, so... The beach is pretty nice, clean, with sand and crystal clear water and an area monitored by buoys.

Aside from the entrance fee, you have to pay for several little things: the parking spot, the locker, the lounge chair, and the fastpass ticket (about fifteen euros, mind you) to get priority access to the slides. Without this fastpass, arm yourself with patience because the wait for some slides can take several dozen minutes. To top it all off, the changing rooms are dirty, and the staff lacks courtesy and availability...

Without being perfectly clean, the rooms are both welcoming and simple. The people working there are helpful and friendly with the kids. The breakfast buffet is varied and actually pretty high quality.

Heads up, even though it is part of the Disneyland Resort, it is not located in Disney Village. That is a shame, because after a day spent on the rides, it is nice to be able to walk to the village to enjoy its restaurants and bars. Still, a shout-out to the staff, who were very welcoming.

If you want to get an idea of what opulence was like for Louis XIV and the kings of France, head over to the Palace of Versailles. Gold everywhere, huge galleries (the Hall of Mirrors!), frescoes, paintings, chandeliers, a splendid garden... Impressive

The Old Town, surrounded by a green belt (I imagine this replaces old ramparts?), is full of charm. It is very easy to get around on foot. The most moving moment of my trip was visiting the Auschwitz camp. Never again.

My parents and I went to Dubai last Christmas. It was warm and very sunny. I was in a t-shirt all day, swimming in the pool or the sea. I played giant chess with my dad. We went to Abu Dhabi and we went inside the Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world. We went to the desert, where I rode a camel with my mom. I really loved this trip.
