You can only find monuments like this in Paris! I loved the ceiling of the dome, with its paintings and gilding. Plus, there are paintings by Delacroix! Interesting fact: I was surprised to discover that you can find the tombs of many famous people there (like Madame de Lafayette). It is a big church, so take the time to really explore it!

Located in the Les Halles neighborhood, this church is close to many tourist spots. I actually discovered it while walking around. I was pleasantly surprised. The ceiling is very high, and the stained glass windows are sparkling. The history of the place is very rich (you can find Colbert's tomb there). It is not just a religious building, but also a work of art!

A cool atmosphere and a meditative calm. It is a unique and deeply moving opportunity to pay tribute to the figures who have shaped our history. For me, it is a must-see in the very pleasant 5th arrondissement. The architecture of the site alone is worth the visit. It is always impressive to see the giant Foucault pendulum!

Another superb church, but this time in a baroque style (it is so Paris to offer us so many monuments so close to one another). You find the abundant generosity of this architectural style here, with gilding and paintings in very good condition on the ceiling. Do not forget to take a look at the monumental organ, topped by a clock.

Very beautiful church in a very touristy area. Don't miss it! The Gothic architecture is stunning. Especially the bell tower. Inside, you will find large, flamboyant stained glass windows and frescoes. The whiteness of the columns makes the whole place very bright. Sitting down and enjoying the glow of the stained glass is a really pleasant experience!

You will likely only see this building from the outside, since you can only visit it under certain conditions. With its beautiful architecture, it contributes to the charm of the old town. The paths around it are pleasant. In itself, nothing exceptional, then. But it is a landmark that will be part of your exploration of the old town.

A fully restored castle (which is worth noting). The effect is guaranteed, even from the outside! I really like the tower with its colorful tiles. The interior hosts various exhibitions, with a rotating schedule. I recommend checking ahead to see if they appeal to you. Not being the biggest fan of contemporary art, I also found the exhibition spaces a bit empty.

A stunning beach, with soft white sand, the big gray rock, and of course the cliffs in the background! It makes you forget the few downsides, like the fact that a large part is taken up by private clubs. That is where you get the iconic image of the rows of umbrellas. It can make you feel a bit packed in, like you are right on top of each other. I guess that is just a necessary evil in a place like this. Especially since the club does at least give you access to facilities (showers, restrooms, etc.).

Each of the Cinque Terre villages has its own perks. This one is perfect if you are looking for that vacation vibe. The beach is right there, accessible directly from the village! The view with the bridge is really charming! Make sure to visit the monuments too, I was very impressed by the Neptune statue, Il Gigante!

A trip to reserve for those who aren't afraid of putting in a little effort! 382 steps! That is what you have to climb. The reward is extremely satisfying, though. You get the feeling of entering a preserved place that you really have to earn. An atmosphere more anchored in the land, which reminded me of some of the villages in Corsica. Plus, the charm of the vineyards gives it a unique identity.

When you come to the Ardèche, you usually hope for less bustle. Aubenas keeps that promise with a city that is on a human scale. I also think it makes a great starting point for visiting the region. I really enjoyed discovering the castle, but also the market: perfect for foodies!

Just breathtaking! When you visit a cave, you feel so small in front of these rock formations that have been growing for thousands of years. You will see magnificent formations here, like real forests. Unique panoramas. A heads up: dress warmly and wear good shoes, there are plenty of stairs to climb! Lots of activities are offered, designed for all types of visitors.

The word Aven indicates the presence of a cave. And indeed, this village is home to a magnificent cave (and yet, there is no shortage of them in the region). You will be dazzled by the beautiful rock formations. The Cité de la Préhistoire will also teach you everything you need to know with clear explanations. A destination that is just as good to visit with a group as it is with your family!

A village to visit if you want to discover the true character of the Cevennes! Perfect for breathing in the fresh country air. I really enjoyed the scenery and the many buildings dating back to the Renaissance. Everything is so open! And believe it or not, there is a lot to discover, especially the dolmens nearby!

Accessible no matter your skill level or mobility, Mont Ventoux is an exceptional site. The summit offers a somewhat barren space, but the most important thing remains the view. The panorama is magnificent, and you get the feeling you could just fly away. No matter how you choose to get there, you will leave with the feeling that you have seen something exceptional!

Do you love wide-open spaces, hiking, nature, and breathtaking views? Then Bédoin is made for you! I really loved the open areas, the vineyards, and the walk to the demoiselles coiffées! A quick tip: check ahead of time to see if there are any bike races going on. It will save you some headaches (unless you are coming to participate?).

A great gift to treat yourself to in the region! I highly recommend visiting the villages by boat, as it is one of the best ways to fully enjoy the panorama. The tour of the three islands is also really worth it. You discover such beautiful heritage where time seems to stand still!

So yeah, it is not the most spectacular site ever. But its value lies in its endurance. Seeing it, you are struck by its sturdiness despite its age and the floods. The spot is quiet, with the water flowing and a beautiful single arch. Plus, it is tucked into a very charming setting and surrounded by the old houses of the village.

A magical and romantic place! Located perfectly on a rocky promontory, this church welcomes you with simplicity. You can find that same alternation between black and white stone here too. The steps to get there make for a nice walk. With the sea below, it is more than just a place of worship! It is easy to see why it is so well liked.

The thing that strikes you is how old this fortress is. You can only imagine everything it has seen over the years! From the top of the ramparts, you can breathe in the sea air, admire the view, and fully soak up the atmosphere. Through the openings, you see the village and the sea like so many enchanting paintings.
