DiscoverCars isn't strictly a car rental company, but rather a comparison site, broker, or middleman (I am not sure what the right term is). The advantage is that you get access to a ton of agencies of different sizes, including small local players. The downside is that, as a result, the quality and reliability of the service can vary significantly from one offer to another, without you really being able to tell the difference.

What a shock when you arrive in Tokyo. It is super lively, super crowded in some spots, yet always clean, with different customs, a different alphabet, and different food. In short, it is a must-experience.

I am always afraid when renting a car that I will end up with a dishonest agency that invents scratches to charge extra fees, or has issues with timing, etc. When the prices are cheaper than the others, I am even more suspicious. So, despite the attractive prices, I still chose Europcar for my last rental. Vehicle was flawless, agents were super welcoming, and no scams! I recommend!

Rented an apartment for a group of 8 people, which is always complicated to find. Spacious enough that we didn't have to step on each other. The equipped kitchen is really handy for making dinner without breaking the bank. Heads up, a car is mandatory to get to the zoo! There is a pool, but it's a little small.

It might seem weird to visit a place of study, but you won't regret it. Centuries old, this university, the oldest in the country, is magnificent. Its treasure, which is sure to leave a mark on you and reconcile you with culture (if needed), is its grand library. Known for exhibiting the Book of Kells, a famous religious manuscript from the Middle Ages, it is above all a splendid place for archiving books, research, and reading. A special atmosphere reigns there.

Less vertical and concentrated than other cities on the US East Coast, Washington seemed very pleasant to live in, with large open spaces and plenty of parks and trees along the avenues. The downside to these large spaces is that there is a lot of walking to do, but it stays enjoyable. There are also many monuments to see that mark the country's history. Numerous museums are also worth visiting, and quite often, you pay what you want for your admission ticket. In short, if you are interested in the history and culture of the United States, Washington is a must.

I do not know why, but I expected to find a quaint little fishing village, and instead I found a new Saint-Tropez, Corsican style. It is a shame to go to the Island of Beauty for this, especially since it has managed to avoid the overdevelopment seen on the French Riviera.

Despite the slightly gray weather that followed me the whole time during my hike, I found Connemara to be very soothing and refreshing. The hills, the streams, the flowers, the pastures, and the many birds, all of it makes for such a bucolic and quiet place.

Figueres has an old town that immerses you in the culture, architecture, and Spanish way of life. Unlike the nearby beach resorts, you will really feel like you are traveling in Spain, just a few kilometers from the French border. Must see: the Dali Museum of course, but also the castle, the pedestrian squares in the city center, the markets...

They presented the Palace of Knossos to us as the must-see spot in Crete. I was disappointed. Aside from a few columns, there is not much left standing. You will need a lot of imagination to reconstruct the grandeur of the site before it was abandoned. A positive aspect all the same, with a good guide, you will learn some interesting things about the history of Greece, and your imagination will actually be helped to see the old stones in a different way.

When you get to the bottom of the wheel, it is a bit intimidating to step into the cabins because you realize how high it actually is. Once you are inside, you completely forget that fear. It is far from the thrill of a roller coaster. On the other hand, you get an amazing view of the city of London. It is a really nice moment to spend as a couple!
