I discovered the Stadion Wankdorf during the 2025 Women's Euro for the Switzerland vs. Iceland match. There was a great atmosphere throughout the whole game. Even though I was rooting for the opposing team, I didn't feel any animosity from the local fans. The stadium is modern but within walking distance from the city center.

Having been there three times, I have never run into a single issue. A festive atmosphere, a packed stadium, and easy to get to from the city center. You can get there by train, bike, on foot, or by car. Since Twente is one of the top five or six teams in the Netherlands, you are guaranteed to see a great show!

I was pleasantly surprised by Bern. After having a negative first impression while driving around the city on the highway, I finally discovered that the Swiss capital is home to a remarkable city center! Wander from the Bernisches Historisches Museum to the Bundesplatz, passing by the Clock Tower, and then finish with a striking view of the Aare from the Nydeggbrücke.

I discovered this city during the Women's Euro soccer championship. Crossed by a river and nestled on the shore of a lake, Thun blends the old and the new pretty well. It is possible to get across this town on foot or by swimming! You should actually take the time to jump into the lake, surrounded by the mountains.

A beach that is easily accessible from the town center, restaurants right on the waterfront, what more could you ask for? Made up of fine sand, the long and wide beach of Le Lavandou will delight both kids and adults. A quick tip: go for a swim in the late afternoon and then follow it up with dinner right nearby!

This village in the Maurienne valley has managed to keep its soul. The August 15th festival was a great chance to rediscover old traditions and costumes from back in the day. At the same time, it was possible to try out a really fun and modern activity: tubing (sliding down a synthetic track in an inner tube). There are also plenty of hikes starting right from the resort.

The last stop before Italy, Mount Cenis is a spectacular place you shouldn't miss when vacationing in Maurienne. Its lake, even though it is artificial, offers a magnificent landscape. The many hikes allow you to recharge your batteries in this exceptional setting. Discover the unique church of Mount Cenis, the Fort de Ronce, the Fort de Variselle, and many others...

Located less than 20 kilometers from Turin, Rivoli stands out for its old town, overlooked by its castle. The only problem is to watch out for the opening days. We weren't able to visit it the day we came. The same goes for the churches. While the city can be beautiful when everything is open, you might leave feeling frustrated if you happen to run into a majority of closed monuments...

With a beautiful city center featuring many half-timbered houses, Strasbourg is a city with so much to offer. Enjoy the La Petite France neighborhood, visit the Cathedral, discover the European Parliament, and stroll along the banks of the Ill River. It is very pleasant to explore the city on foot.

Located less than a half-hour walk from the city center, the Stade Jean Bouin, now better known as Raymond Kopa, is also accessible by tram for spectators coming from further away. Having gone there for a Ligue 1 match, I discovered a warm atmosphere with a rather family-friendly vibe.

Reykjavik City Hall is nothing extraordinary, but it is easy to get into, which can be useful if the weather is bad. You can even have a picnic inside! The view of the lake is pretty nice. After stopping by, you can quickly get back to the city center.

Place du Ralliement really lives up to its name. Located right in the heart of the city, it is one of the important social hubs in Angers. Accessible by tram, the square features plenty of shops as well as a few green spaces here and there.

The castle is the one monument you cannot miss in Angers. It is magnificent both outside and inside, and it offers beautiful views of the city. This monument houses the legendary Apocalypse Tapestry. Do not hesitate to go for the guided tour so you do not miss any information. The castle also features some lovely gardens.

The Angers Cathedral is one of the city's iconic landmarks. You can discover it perfectly by taking the Montée Saint-Maurice. The only downside is that the entrance is currently under construction. Nevertheless, once you are inside, you can admire the entirety of this beautiful building.

You won't find a neighborhood in Angers without its own patch of greenery. In addition to the many parks where you can stroll, don't miss the famous castle and the renowned Apocalypse Tapestry. After admiring this treasure, take a walk through the city center before recharging along the banks of the Maine. The tram makes it easy and quick to get around the whole city.

Perfect for a short stay, Grenoble has a few perks, including its many green spaces, which are pleasant for escaping the sometimes stifling heat. Whether you go up on foot or by the bubbles, take a trip to the Bastille, where you will discover a superb view of the capital of the Alps. The Isère prefecture is ideal for sports fans, with high-level clubs in various disciplines (soccer, rugby, ice hockey, and roller hockey in particular).

Magnificent from the outside, this church is one of the main focal points of the capital. Its interior is very simple. After taking a walk through the nave, go up to the top to discover the exceptional view that this building offers.

This remarkable place is a must-see in the Reykjavik region. In the middle of the lava fields, you will find the Blue Lagoon where you can enjoy 38°C (100°F) water all year round! You can also treat yourself to a face mask. Note that due to the many eruptions in the area, the facility has sometimes had to close its doors temporarily. Check ahead of time.

This beautiful bridge connecting the Gellert Baths to the Central Market Hall is an ideal spot for some great photos, whether because of its architecture or the scenery it offers. To top it all off, just wait for the famous yellow tram to pass by and there is your perfect selfie!
