It is a sometimes eclectic collection of palaces from different eras and styles. The Nasrid Palace is THE palace to see absolutely. The others, only if you have the time. Speaking of which, save yourself 2 hours to walk through the gardens, and especially the Generalife.

Clean and functional cottage with a view of the lake. The grounds have a pleasant, green setting where you can see quite a few birds and even squirrels. The Aqua Mundo is really nice, but the activities in the covered dome are pretty limited. Go when the weather is nice to take advantage of the outdoor activities.

This site regularly offers super advantageous and varied promotional deals (I imagine these are unsold spots from tour operators). The best offers go pretty quickly, so stay on your toes and be flexible to take advantage of them.

You might think that because the show happens several times a day and is free, it would be cheap... well no, it is top notch! The music, the choreography of the water jets, the light effects (in the evening), and the setting, are magnificent!

The observation decks are about halfway up the tower, but that is already enough to look down on the rest of the city. Even the towers that seemed tall to you from the ground will look tiny. It feels very strange :) Also, it is a chance to see how the city keeps growing and building everywhere. The thing I liked less is the wait time to get into the elevator. Around an hour is just ridiculous.

Honestly, the outside of the museum looks amazing. The first time I walked by, I said to myself, "What is that! I want to see it!" Well, I went to see it... and it is pretty disappointing. I would say it is more like "interactive gadgets" to entertain kids, but I did not feel the wow factor at all that the exterior made me hope for.

Some of the slides offer real thrills and there is not too much of a wait, about fifteen minutes for the most popular ones. The place is clean and well maintained by the staff. Fun and safe for kids. You can buy food on site. I was able to bring my own water without any issues. The small downside is the price, which is pretty painful if you go with a big group.

In London, avant-garde art and culture are really moving. It is actually one of the world capitals where things are moving the most. Well, the Tate Modern is THE London museum for contemporary art, with exhibitions that are updated very regularly and are truly innovative.

Mexico, and Latin America in general, is the cradle of extraordinary civilizations that were already very advanced by the time Europeans arrived. I am thinking, for example, of the Aztecs or the Mayans. I found it very interesting to be able to learn more about this glorious, relatively unknown past.

Between the lake and the mountains, this UNESCO-listed village has a magnificent setting. The little alleys of the village are as picturesque as can be, full of charm, but you can get around them pretty quickly. On the other hand, walking around the region, or going on hikes or bike rides, you can easily spend several days here without getting tired of these landscapes where the views can change at every turn.

The park is big enough to feel like you are getting out of the city, but small enough to visit easily without wearing yourself out walking for miles. The traces left by Gaudi are really interesting and make it a special place that stands out from the rest. Heads up, I recently learned that you now have to pay for entry :(

These ruins are in pretty good shape, and if you aren't claustrophobic, you can visit some old tombs. Interesting, but you can see everything pretty quickly. Compared to other archaeological sites in Mexico, Monte Albán can seem a bit small.

Fine sand, warm turquoise water, coconut trees... And almost no one! Here, there is no concrete along the beach, just a few small cottages made of wood and natural materials. Super relaxing! And in the ocean, a few small rocky reefs where pretty fish live, easy to spot with a mask and snorkel.

Very pleasant surprise, this little fishing village that is Mazunte. It is not too well known and not too crowded. You can therefore enjoy beautiful beaches, go snorkeling to see multicolored fish and even turtles, without feeling like you are in a vacation factory. And the locals are super friendly and open!

If you are looking to take a trip back in time to see what a city was like during the Renaissance, Florence is the place to be. Its buildings, its river, its old bridge, its colors, its art collections... And then the little Tuscan villages all around!

What a contrast between those picturesque, carefully preserved houses lined up along the charming and romantic canals and the mindset of the city: - Very open values :) - A very cosmopolitan population - A super busy nightlife - An omnipresent concern for sustainable development

I don't know why there is all this hype about London. The city is really trendy right now, but I am pretty disappointed with my London experience: - Bad weather - The city isn't very pretty and, above all, not very harmonious - Exorbitant prices
