The site is a bit messy with a lot of offers. Some are fake deals, where they show big discounts but you can find the same price elsewhere. On the other hand, sometimes there are offers that are really interesting, with rates much lower than what you find at other agencies. Generally, these deals go fast. So, you shouldn't hesitate to look at what they offer and compare the prices.

I just got back, and the weather is still beautiful in September. A picturesque village just the way we like them, with some pretty coves for swimming nearby. All these landscapes are a real treat for the eyes.

I really enjoyed this park for the beautiful landscapes provided by the lakes and the terrain, as well as for the hiking and kayaking activities. The picturesque villages add a friendly touch to the visit.

We spent 2 days there hiking. No major acrobatic challenges, but it is still a workout since there is quite a bit of elevation gain. Anyway, just go at your own pace and take the time to open your eyes. Spectacular mountain views, waterfalls, and big forests. If you love nature, go for it, it will be a nice change from the hundreds of miles of urban sprawl in LA.

This mountain overlooks Dubrovnik. You can hike up (it is a workout and scorching in the sun) or take the cable car. If you plan ahead, you can book a table at the restaurant located at the top. It is pricey, but the view of the city and the coast is superb.

I went along to accompany someone, without really wanting to. In the end, I have great memories of it. I did not think I would see so many animals. The guide lets us take the time to observe the behavior of the wild animals, including lions getting ready for a hunt!

The gallery is actually very large and especially beautiful, with lovely lighting effects on the ceiling. For that alone, the visit is worth it. Take the time to go through all the levels, especially the last one to understand a bit about how evolution works. The animals and the various skeletons are well done. I went with a 6-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy, and they both loved it. A small area for improvement: the explanations on the tablets are not always very readable or clear.

The staff is very welcoming and puts you at ease immediately. If you are coming by car, you can reserve a parking spot in advance for an extra fee. Outside of breakfast, there is not really a restaurant for meals. That is a bit of a shame, but not a huge deal because the neighborhood offers a ton of options for eating at any time of day. On the other hand, there is a bar with a relaxed vibe where you can listen to live piano in the evening. The wellness area is top notch, with a large pool and massages by appointment.

On a hot weekend, don't expect to have any peace and quiet. Even though visits are by reservation, residents share the space with day visitors, and it quickly gets crowded for the slides or even just finding a few good lounge chairs. For the most popular slides, the wait can exceed 30 minutes. Other than that, the indoor area is big and great, super bright. Outside, there is a beach by the lake where swimming is allowed. A few water activities are also possible (plan on paying extra for those).

Right in the middle of the Bavarian countryside, at the foot of the mountains, this castle with its fairytale look seems surreal. A very beautiful place that is worth taking a day to make the trip and visit.

Opened this summer, this new Center Parcs is already very good and will be excellent in a few months. The cottages are cozy, made of wood, clean, and well-equipped. There are fans, but the insulation is such that you do not necessarily need them if you keep everything closed during the day and air it out at night. The farm, the vegetable garden, and the indoor and outdoor playgrounds are top notch for the kids. The Aquamundo is super well designed, and it is big. It can accommodate a lot of people without feeling crowded. I am not really crazy about the exterior, which mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles with varying degrees of success. On the other hand, you can climb up a tower to the bell tower and see a pretty view of the city, the lake, the jet, and the mountains.
