Venice was magical! Wandering along the canals in a gondola, especially at sunset, is just so romantic. The square and St. Mark's Basilica are impressive (even if it was packed with tourists). The little streets and picturesque bridges are charming. The Venice Carnival in February is a sight you shouldn't miss (though again, despite the crowds, you have to steel yourself). The streets come alive with sumptuous costumes and masks. I loved it! And then, Italian food remains my guilty pleasure. Be careful, though, to respect the local rules (Do not eat or drink while sitting on the ground, do not sit or lie on the ground, on the banks and foundations, monuments, bridges, steps, curbs, and footb…

This city really touched me! In January, the city is quiet, perfect for seeing the Palais des Papes without the crowds. February is the chance to take advantage of sunny days for a stroll along the Rhone. In March, the terraces come to life with the first rays of sun. April sees the markets getting filled with fresh produce. May is ideal for picnics in the green parks. June signals the buzz of the Festival d'Avignon, with shows everywhere. July is the heart of the festival, a unique artistic vibe that turns the city into a giant stage. August offers mild evenings, perfect for dinners outside. September is the start of the cultural season with lots of exhibitions. October colors the city in i…

Quebec is truly one of my best trips! Wandering around Old Quebec is like traveling back in time, with its historic streets and buildings. The Château Frontenac is breathtaking, especially with the view of the St. Lawrence River. The Dufferin Terrace is superb, and the Quartier Petit-Champlain is adorable, with its little shops and restaurants. We were lucky enough to participate in the Quebec Winter Carnival (in February). A unique experience, with all its activities (artistic, sports, and musical). And the local food, the poutine and maple syrup, I love it! For history buffs like me, the Musée de la civilisation is a must.

Nicknamed the Venice of the Alps, the city is crossed by picturesque canals and surrounded by mountains. It is magnificent! Stroll through the Old Town, explore the Palais de l'Île, and relax in the Jardins de l'Europe. Do not miss a boat ride on the lake or a hike around it. We spent 5 days there (a perfect amount of time in my opinion). Tasting local specialties, hiking, and water activities are all part of the experience there. And for an unbeatable view, trust yourself, put on your best shoes, and head out on a mountain excursion.

Rio de Janeiro is where partying and nature come together! The view from Corcovado, with Christ the Redeemer, is breathtaking. The beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema are perfect for relaxing or learning how to surf. Sugarloaf Mountain offers an incredible panoramic view of the bay. My little tip: do not miss the Lapa neighborhood for its lively bars and the Escadaria Selarón mosaic. The festive atmosphere, especially during Carnival, and the kindness of the Cariocas make this city unique and, above all, unforgettable.

The picturesque canals, colorful houses, and chocolate shops on every street corner... it transports you to another time. The Market Square and the belfry offer stunning views of the city. I also recommend the boat tour and a visit to the Beguinage to really soak in the city and its charm. Don't forget to try their mussels and fries and their chocolates. One quick extra tip: it is perfect for a romantic getaway, Bruges is magical!

Rome is a deep dive into history! Walking through the ruins of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum is like stepping back in time. The Trevi Fountain is magnificent, especially at night with its lights (and even more so since the renovations). And what can I say about the Italian food? The gelato, the pasta, and the pizzas are a delight on every street corner (just be sure to check the ratings on Google, it helps to avoid mistakes). The Colosseum is impressive, and the museums are filled with treasures. I loved it!

Sydney won me over with its iconic opera house (don't forget to book your tickets ahead of your visit), its Harbour Bridge, and its magnificent harbor. The beaches at Bondi and Manly are perfect for surfing or just relaxing. The city is vibrant, sunny, and offers a ton of activities, from street fitness to museums and national parks. Truly one of my most memorable experiences to date!

Saint-Tropez: its yachts, its traffic jams, its expensive cafes on the harbor... but that is not all! I love going there thanks to the Bateau Vert, and wandering around the harbor and through its little alleyways (which are kept in great shape). The view from the citadel gives us a nice glimpse of the French Riviera. And the market at Place des Lices is a real treat for the eyes and the taste buds! Not to mention Pampelonne beach, which is perfect for relaxing in the sun and listening to the sound of the Mediterranean Sea, winter or summer.

Marrakech is an incredible city, full of color and life. Jemaa el-Fna square is the number 1 recommendation on Avygeo, and I totally agree. It is a must-see, especially in the evening with its street performances and food stalls. The souks and the Jardin Majorelle, a real haven of peace, are also great to visit. And the Moroccan food! I recommend the restaurant Chez Zaza or Nomad, the view from their terraces is breathtaking!

During our trip to Ireland, we took the bus to get to Clifden. Our goal was to go cycling in the area. It was so great! I really recommend a stop there. It is a small, colorful village, lost in the Irish countryside. You can rent bikes on-site, there are three routes to choose from, and off you go, riding along the coast! What great memories!

I love enjoying Marseille at least once a year. The lively atmosphere of the Vieux-Port is super pleasant (for breakfast on a terrace, for example). The "little" climb to the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde remains a must to admire the view, which is always breathtaking. I always go through the Panier neighborhood to get lost in the narrow streets and discover the new street art. And then, the bouillabaisse, the orange blossom ice cream, the fresh fish... just be careful to choose your restaurants well!

Dublin is a super welcoming city! Whether you are strolling along the river or in the historic Temple Bar neighborhood (with its colorful streets and lively pubs), or visiting Christ Church Cathedral or Trinity College, you will not be disappointed. I really loved spending a few days there (4 days is enough in my opinion). Only small disappointment: the Book of Kells.

The scenery in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is nice (vast beaches and dunes), but the prices are often a bit high. For a getaway from Paris, it is nice, if you do not want to have a big night out after your dinner. I really enjoyed the bike rides on the promenade and in the surrounding forests. But overall, it is very touristy, and not always up to par.

I love Ireland, and Cork is one of its gems! This city is full of charm and energy, and it offers so many ways to explore. I recommend taking a bike ride along the River Lee, it is gorgeous. The English Market is also super for finding local products. For food, we loved the restaurant Market Lane, and The River Club (though keep in mind you should book well in advance, and this advice applies to all restaurants there). Strolling through the Shandon neighborhood and going up the church tower is also a must.

Planning a quick weekend getaway? Lille is a great choice. It is warm, friendly, and festive! I recommend a walk through Vieux-Lille with its cobblestone alleys and colorful buildings. The Grand-Place is also magnificent. For lunch, try the restaurant "Le Rococo" or "La nouvelle aventure" to taste some local specialties. And do not forget to visit the Palais des Beaux-Arts. A stroll along the Deûle also offers some beautiful views.

During my stay in Tunis, I loved getting lost in the narrow streets of the medina with its colorful markets. Taking a tour with a guide was necessary to avoid getting lost, but it was really fun! Tunisian food is delicious, especially the couscous, the mechouia salad, and their desserts. The warm welcome from the locals makes the experience even more pleasant, even if you have to be careful not to get ripped off on prices!

AH! I highly recommend exploring the streets of Paris. You will discover a city full of charm and opportunity! I loved discovering all the theaters it hosts. The banks of the Seine are perfect for a nice walk, and the Montmartre neighborhood (a classic) offers a unique artistic atmosphere. Visiting the Musée d'Orsay is essential. And do not forget to enjoy a good meal in one of its many great restaurants (I loved 112). At night, the magic happens with the lights of the Eiffel Tower. Every street corner has something incredible to offer, beautiful for your eyes or good for your stomach! Only negative point: its public transit.. but hey, nobody is perfect!

Lisbon is simply an enchanting city! Its cobblestone streets and iconic streetcars give the city a unique charm. I loved exploring the Alfama neighborhood, with its narrow alleyways and magnificent views of the river. Portuguese food is delicious, especially the pastéis de nata that I was able to enjoy while there. In the evening, the vibe in the Bairro Alto bars is incredible. A vibrant city, rich in history and culture! Just be careful to arm yourself with good shoes.

Tataouine is a fascinating destination to discover. The beauty of the desert landscapes is simply breathtaking. While visiting the ksour, those ancient stone dwellings, I was able to appreciate the local history and architecture. The locals are very welcoming and their food, like the mechoui, is a real treat. An authentic experience that mixes culture and nature, really ideal for getting away from it all!
