A gorgeous little village in the Nice hinterland, not to be confused with Carros Ville, which is definitely less charming. A bit of a climb will take you up to the medieval village, where you will find narrow streets and pretty stone houses, with a sublime view of the sea and the mountains. Some really good restaurants like La Forge or the little creperie. There are tons of festivals and shows in the summer, especially in the small amphitheater. You also have a nice walk to do, a loop of about an hour starting from the large parking lot that takes you through the forest and the ruins of an incredible mill!

If you love hiking, backcountry camping, and nature, welcome to Queyras! You cannot help but fall in love with the beauty of the landscapes... A large part of the trails is generally accessible, much less technical than Mercantour for example! With magnificent viewpoints: Lac de Sainte-Anne and Lac Miroir near Ceillac (a gorgeous village, definitely go check it out!) and Saint-Veran. I would go back in a heartbeat, this regional park is full of wonders to discover. I have only seen it in the summer, but autumn must be stunning with its larches, and the spring blooms too... I think you can easily come back and still be completely captivated.

You can't get more low cost than Ryanair, you can leave for 15€ but as a result you get all the extra fees and bare-minimum service. In itself, no surprise there. For my part, a catastrophic experience when our flight was canceled where the only solution offered was a flight 5 days later, no accommodation and zero compensation. We had to find a convoluted way to get back by making a detour and paying out of pocket for a hotel and extra flights, with zero support from the airline. The sneakiest part is that they deleted my booking from my customer account, which makes claiming insurance almost impossible. I only flew with them once, I'm putting it down to bad luck, but I'll probably still giv…

It wasn't in our original itinerary, but we just wandered into the museum by chance (it's free, worth noting!) and what a great surprise! First off, it is huge and packed with exhibits of all kinds, covering every theme you could possibly imagine! History, Culture, Science... Plus, the interior architecture is really cool. There is something for everyone, kids and adults alike, and it is a really great visit to make in Edinburgh.

Walking around downtown, you totally get why it's called the "Little Paris" thanks to the architecture of the buildings and monuments! Between the Arc de Triomphe and the pretty downtown, especially the Macca Passage which is really lovely, plus the different palaces, grand banks, and ministries that you can't miss! My recommendation for book lovers: the gorgeous "Cărturești Carusel" bookstore, perfect for finding a nice little souvenir or a great book edition (in English, not just in Romanian!). It is a really nice city to explore, with super diverse food, you will find absolutely everything you are looking for.

Another Parisian flashback, a big avenue with a triumphal arch at the end! And the traffic is not so far off from Place de l'Étoile, I guarantee you! You can climb up it for a pretty decent panoramic view, but personally, I preferred King Michael I Park right next door, with a lake (normally? in August it was completely dry!). Nice walk and some nice terraces to soak up the sun!

It's an architectural marvel in Bucharest, like many buildings in the city, which I regret not visiting from the inside (closed during the summer, unfortunately). Seeing a concert here must be an exceptional experience! Just walking past it gives you a sense of its grandeur. Quick random recommendation: a 10 minute walk away you can grab brunch at "Brutal Pancakes" and it's killer! Excellent, both sweet and savory!

A must-see stop in my opinion if you are visiting the small villages of Transylvania. The historic center is very pleasant to walk around with a warm atmosphere! The clock tower is impressive, the little outdoor cafes are super welcoming, and the little houses with colorful, well-preserved architecture make it a real pleasure to stroll around (even in the rain and thunderstorms!). I recommend the Von Graf restaurant to try their traditional specialties, which are truly excellent!

What a marvelous city Edinburgh is, one of my absolute favorites! The atmosphere in the little alleys, day or night, is truly incredible. Lots of friendly people, and plenty of pubs with gorgeous architecture (oh, I am pure joy with my plate of mac 'n' cheese and my pint). It is a city where you have to take the time to discover the corners, the little hidden passageways, and do not hesitate to enjoy the tours (Mary King's Close, the underground vaults...) it is really cool to do! Not to mention the castle and the gardens! I would dedicate at least 3 days to it to fully enjoy it.

Having traveled 5-6 times with Wizz Air, I haven't had any disastrous experiences. Most of the flights went well. You are on a low cost airline so everything costs extra, no surprises there. However, the free underseat bag has even smaller dimensions than EasyJet, you have to pack extremely light! And I find their check in system a bit sneaky. It opens 24 hours before, but if you want to do it earlier you have to pay for seats, otherwise it costs a hefty fee (40€!) to do it at the airport (a quick thought for anyone who isn't tech savvy...). Anyway, nothing dramatic, but not very friendly business practices in my opinion.

It is an extraordinary place! I think you only see something like that once in a lifetime! Attractions and an amusement park in the depths of a salt mine, just unbelievable. The vibe is indescribable, both futuristic yet with remnants from the past, honestly you do not come away from it unchanged I feel! You easily spend 3 to 4 hours exploring all the nooks and crannies and just observing the immensity of the place. Do not miss it if you are around Cluj Napoca, the place is well worth the trip.

Such a nice surprise, the city of Brașov, with a super charming downtown to explore, especially the White and Black Towers which give you a great view of the city, and the Black Church, which is definitely worth a visit. Loved just wandering around the square and the little pedestrian streets. It is a great base to go explore the Carpathians, for example, or closer by, Tâmpa Hill which overlooks the city (I was able to see it in the summer, but autumn looks like it would be spectacular!) And the icing on the cake, try staying at Dragonfly Gardens, where you can experience a night in a gypsy wagon!

It is a very cute little village, like many you can see in Transylvania. You can feel that the village is in transition and will develop to attract tourism. The fortified church is really interesting to visit, especially the famous room where they locked up couples who wanted to get a divorce by forcing them to share a single bed, one plate, and one set of cutlery...! Better to spend the night in Sighișoara for example, a simple stopover in Biertan is enough.

What a great surprise Shkodër turned out to be! Much more vibrant than I expected, with a really pretty pedestrian zone. It is obviously the gateway to the stunning hike from Theth to Valbona, which I definitely recommend if you love the mountains and boat trips on Lake Koman!

Tirana is definitely not the most touristy destination in Albania, but it is full of little gems to explore, especially in the surrounding areas. You have some great hikes to discover the magnificent Erzen canyon and the Pellumbas cave about thirty minutes away, for example. In the capital itself, the New Bazaar neighborhood is really nice with some very good restaurants to discover local food (exceptional, I had ZERO culinary disappointments in Albania!!). Do not hesitate to stay a few days if you have a car (Bovilla Lake, Cyclope's Eye...) before heading off to explore the Albanian Alps or the Riviera!

This little resort town on the riviera is nice to walk around, and the port is mainly the departure point for lots of half-day boat cruises that I strongly recommend! The small village of Qeparo is a bit quieter just a few miles away, where you can also visit the perched villages with a lovely view of Corfu!

What a lovely surprise the perched town of Krujë is! We had noted it as a stop on our road trip, but the little street where the bazaar is located is truly charming, and it is a pleasure to visit the castle while eating on a terrace with an unbeatable view of the surroundings! I recommend it as a day trip from Tirana or as a stop if you are heading up to the Albanian Alps!

Berat, its citadel, and its castle are truly lovely places to visit during your time in Albania! The best way to explore is to just get lost in the little streets and discover things as you go. I am always fascinated by the diversity of cultures that live side by side in Albania, and Berat is living proof of that! Make sure to head over to Gorica on the other side of the river, which is just as nice to explore with a great view of Berat as a bonus!

On top of being more than spectacular, this place really gives off a slightly mystical vibe. It is incredible to look at all these rock formations and just sit facing the sea to take in all the beauty that nature has to offer. Walking around the area is well worth the trip, and taking the time to visit at a relaxed pace is really nice. Doing it with a guide lets you get all the little stories and associated myths, so I highly recommend it!

Several experiences with Ubigi, in Japan and the United States so far, and honestly, I have zero complaints, everything works to perfection! Always had data, even out in the middle of nowhere in Death Valley. For Japan, having tried local eSIMs, the difference is totally night and day, you can go with your eyes closed!
