Petite-Terre

As a fan of the automotive world and its history, I was really happy to visit. The best part is clearly the scenography, and I think it is the best I have seen in all the car museums I have been to (sorry, Porsche museum). It is easy to get to, and I took the metro. There are a lot of temporary exhibits that enrich the museum, and I caught the one for the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's death. I am definitely going to have to come back. Another thing that is pretty overlooked is that the neighborhood around the museum is really nice, especially for finding some authentic little local bars and restaurants.

Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina. It is located about 650km northwest of Buenos Aires. For those who love Buenos Aires, the city might seem bland, but if you look closely, you will find everything you need to be entertained and learn something. First off, the cathedral is a must. It is a gem to visit, and right next door is the Museo de la Memoria Córdoba, which chronicles the military dictatorship and the people who disappeared during that time. Since you are already at Plaza San Martin, you might as well visit the city cabildo. The whole city center is easy to explore with its many pedestrian streets. As for the nightlife, Cordoba is the capital of Fernet Branca (admittedly Italian, but it is produced there too), and it is easy to make friends with that! There are plenty of clubs and after-hours spots in the city, even in the pizzerias! To go further, depending on how much time you have, the town of Villa Carlos Paz is just an hour away from Cordoba, with its Lago San Roque and famous aerosillas (chairlifts).

The Nicolás Avellaneda Bridge that crosses the Riachuelo is a transporter bridge, one of only eight left on the planet that still works. It goes from the La Boca neighborhood to Isla Maciel (a neighborhood in Dock Sud that is relatively dangerous at night). The bridge is named after the president of the Argentine nation from October 1874 to October 1880.

Just like the city's current botanical garden, it was designed by the landscape architect Charles Thays. It is a large enough park for a nice little picnic on sunny days. It is located not too far from Avenida del Libertador.

I don't know what it was that I liked about this park, but I loved it! Really! The many statues, the natural history museum up on the hill, the view of Bad Cannstatt, the rose garden! I spent a lot of time in this park and I would love to go back.

Very, very big, a bit like the diversity of their range. From the horse to the latest models, you will travel through the world of Mercedes. For me, the small regret is that the museum is quite dark and lacks a bit of interactivity. Also, for the racing models, it is a shame to be quite far from the cars (15-16 feet). But I am nitpicking, it is a very beautiful museum.

Right now, I think this is the best automotive brand museum. Part of the museum has a VR module that is pretty interesting, where you can build your own Porsche, for example. The museum also has an interactive side, like making music with engine sounds or playing with very large touchscreens. The way the cars are displayed is pretty well done, in order from the oldest models to the most recent. From the tractor to the latest race models for the 24 Hours of Le Mans or Nurburgring, there is a real variety. Note that it is possible to get inside some of the vehicles.

It is a nice automobile museum right at the gates of the Bugatti circuit. Numerous vehicles (cars and motorcycles) that were part of the circuit's adventure are on display. From the first Chenard and Walcker to the most recent LMP1 Audi or Peugeot for example. Starting in May 2026, the museum is set to enter another dimension by becoming a motorsport museum. We just have to wait and see.

Zaragoza is really underrated, probably because it is quieter than Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, or even Sevilla. It remains interesting, though. The historic district is great, but that is not all. The people are very friendly and very welcoming. Just for the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, it is worth the trip. You should know that in 2027, the city will be the European Capital of Sport. This is evidenced by the arrival of a stage of the Vuelta a España again in 2025. Also, know that the Bardenas Reales are just over an hour away by car.
