What is Aqua Mundo?
![]()
Found at every Center Parcs in France and most European locations, Aqua Mundo is the brand's signature water park. Housed inside heated glass domes, these parks maintain a tropical climate year-round for swimming and relaxing.
Activities for the whole family include wave pools, water slides, wild rivers, and various play areas. For a slower pace, try the whirlpools. Smaller children have designated zones like the water tree or wading pools.
The water slides
![]()
Slides are a staple of any Aqua Mundo, though the selection varies by location. The concept is consistent, you slide through a water-propelled tube before splashing into a pool. Some are open, some are enclosed, and some require inner tubes. You will find tandem slides for racing friends (the Aqua Racer) and high-speed loop slides (the Aqua Loop).
For the biggest thrills, the Center Parcs les Trois Forêts in Lorraine features the Master Blaster, a 623-foot (190m) long slide with a 39-foot (12m) drop.
The wave pool
![]()
Most Aqua Mundo locations feature a main indoor pool under the dome designed to mimic a tropical beach. Sirens sound every 30 minutes to signal the start of artificial waves, which reach about 20 inches (50cm) in height. Lifeguards are on duty, but you should still supervise your children.
The wild river
![]()
Whether indoor, outdoor, or both, the wild river simulates a fast-moving, winding natural stream. These are designed for excitement, pulling you through curves, drops, and whirlpools. Often, you will use an inner tube or bodyboard to navigate the rapids.
Other activities at Center Parcs
Residents have access to dozens of activities, from sports and recreation to creative workshops. There is something for every age, though note that aside from the included Aqua Mundo access, most activities cost extra.
Each resort has its own specific offerings, but here are the core activities you will find at all 7 French locations.
