Tucked away inside an immense forest in northeastern Belgium, it is easy to forget that Center Parcs Erperheide and its neat square brick cottages sit just a few kilometers from major hubs like Maastricht (44 km away). Better yet, the resort and its packed activity lineup are designed to make you completely unplug from everyday life.

Adults can dive into high-ropes courses, volleyball, badminton, canoeing, ziplining, or the newest addition: Padel (a racquet sport combining elements of tennis and squash). Meanwhile, children have traditional craft workshops, BALUBA, a farm, a trampoline area, and more, alongside a dedicated pony world offering rides and grooming sessions. For a water break, Aqua Mundo delivers with slides, lazy and wild rivers, a wave pool, and an incredible underwater fishing village where exotic fish swim right alongside you in a large saltwater pool.

Not bad, but not exceptional either. We wouldn't have made the trip just for this place. On the other hand, on the way back from an exhausting trip to Germany, it was a good spot to rest and relax.
