I can not visit L.A. without going to one of my favorite spots, the Santa Monica pier. The pier is always packed, but that’s usually because of its main attraction, the Pacific Park amusement park. I’ve only been there with my sister and my husband, but it’s an absolutely great place for kids. There are rides, arcade games, and restaurants. Although the amusement park is completely free to enter, you do have to pay for your individual rides and games. If you’re ever in the Santa Monica area on vacation, make this one of the places you visit. It’s a great stop for family fun!

My family and I had so much fun at The Steel Pier in Atlantic City, NJ. We rode all the rides, played some amusement games, and enjoyed the acrobatic entertainment. If you visit the Jersey shore, this is a must stop for the summer. The Steel Pier boardwalk is a great alternative to the beach and casinos.

I am so happy to have stumbled across this amazing theatre. While researching what to do for my birthday, Facebook showed me this production of "Harry Potter," and of course I'm sceptical, but I saw it has good reviews, so I looked further, and what sold me is that they actually serve good food. More than just popcorn and candy, but loaded fries, chicken sandwiches, salads, and pizzas (regular and gluten-free). So many desserts to choose from, and if you partake, a good list of wine and beers. My only gripe is that it is a bit small, but hopefully they can expand in the future. We only got to see the one shoe but they were phenomenal! Absolutely amazing actors and great singers. Really inspired me to get back in the industry myself.

Watching TV all your life would have you think the mountains are dangerous and it's only steep curves and pointed rocks, but the beauty is way beyond that. Growing up on the east side by the beach makes you forget all the world isn't flat lands. After our stay in Arizona, I can officially call myself a mountain girl. This specific one being my favorite. It's a huge mountain with many stops and smaller beginner trails along the way that are still marked and very safe. Once you make your drive to the top is where you'll find all the amazing restaurants with beautiful views. Then my favorite part is the ski ride. I think Death Valley is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. Desert expanses as far as the eye can see, absolutely majestic viewpoints, and plenty of completely different places to see: hikes in the canyons, sand dunes, incredible rock formations, a dry lake bed. My favorite will always be Dante's View, I think, which overlooks the Badwater Basin. Even in late October it was really hot for hiking, I do not even want to imagine it in the summer! Stop by the visitor center at Furnace Creek to get all the information you need for your visit!

You can't visit Los Angeles without checking out the giant letters, the symbol of Hollywood. There are some really pretty viewpoints where you can kill two birds with one stone, getting both the sign AND a nice panorama of the city. Lake Hollywood Park is cool, and so is the Griffith Observatory! Great photos in the making! If you are passing through Hollywood, don't miss a tour of one of the studios (Warner Bros, Universal, or Paramount, for example). That was seriously my favorite activity!

I really loved visiting this museum, which is very comprehensive. You will find very ancient works dating back to the Egyptian era as well as more contemporary pieces. Artists from all over the world are on display, including French painters like Monet. This museum felt huge to me. You will need at least 3 to 4 hours to explore it. Bonus, the view is really top notch with a beautiful panorama of Central Park.

This museum is really huge, it spreads over 6 floors! Since it is a modern art museum, expect some original and sometimes surprising pieces. The collections are rich and varied, with some exhibitions being more interesting and accessible than others. Still, it remains a must-see museum in New York for me.

I loved Lake Titicaca. The beauty of the scenery is striking, with deep blue waters and a peaceful surrounding countryside. The atmosphere there is remarkably calm, and meeting the local people makes the experience even more authentic. There are some great hikes to do around the lake, providing truly exceptional views. A place out of time, with dreamlike landscapes.

Even if the Empire State Building might not offer the best view of New York anymore, the view from the top is still incredible. The building is iconic regardless and has a history all its own. You can discover it for yourself once you are there. At the top, there is not a huge amount of space, but the panorama will not disappoint you.
