I stayed at a country villa resort in the center of the country, this wonderful place to relax and enjoy with family or friends and experience part of the Dominican culture. It has studio villas for two people, five, and ten people. Breakfast is included, and it has a restaurant serving Dominican and international cuisine. It is close to the airport in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, the second industrial city in the Republic. Prinair offers transfers as well as local excursions.

Now the residence of the president, only a part of the former Palace of the Grand Masters is open for visits today. A few lovely rooms with period furniture to visit, and what I really liked was the armory room where you can see a multitude of swords, armor, crossbows, arquebuses, and small cannons. It is impressive.

Culture moment: do you know why it is called a "co-cathedral"? Because this church is consecrated, but the main seat of the diocese is at Mdina Cathedral. From the outside, the building is elegant and relatively understated, like many other buildings in Valletta. Inside, it is a whole different story. Gilding and paintings everywhere, it is stunning. Even the marble floor is covered with patterns. By the way, all those marble slabs cover the bodies of knights of the Order of Saint John who distinguished themselves during their lifetime. Opened in 2025, this is one of the new kids on the teamLab block. While my favorite remains the one in Osaka's botanical garden, this one, like its Tokyo counterpart, is really nice to do at least once, even though it is crowded and a selfie paradise. The room right up top with all the greenery is truly gorgeous! Some rooms are the exact same as in Tokyo, so on a trip I would recommend doing just one of them between Planets and Biovortex, with a preference for the latter if you have to choose.

Visiting the island of Milos is a really good alternative to the Cycladic islands that are overrun by tourists, like Santorini. Between the port of Adamas, the island's capital Plaka, or even Pollonia way out to the east, every town has its own charm, and the island is packed with must-see tourist spots: the fishing villages of Mandrakia and Klima, Sarakiniko and its lunar landscapes, the spectacular cliffs of Kleftiko... You can spend a week here without getting bored! As a little bonus, don't hesitate to head over to the neighboring island of Kimolos, which is also absolutely worth the trip!

I've walked past Sainte-Chapelle many times in the past without even noticing this little religious monument, literally stuck right up against the Palais de Justice. To be completely honest, the price is pretty high for how long the visit takes (30 minutes if you just want to "see" it, longer if you want to look at all the details). When you walk into the first level... It's nice, but cramped, and my first impression was disappointment: I paid 23€ for this??? If you’re not a gambler and look for other activities while in Vegas, then stop by the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and catch the 8 minute show that begins at the top of every hour. This show features mechanical statues narrating the tale of King Atlas and his children fighting over the throne. It’s a great show for kids too. And did I mention that it is free?
