Four years ago, we spent an Easter long weekend in Munich. Booking our own flights and hotels saved us a bundle, and the city’s pedestrian-friendly center was a joy to explore in the sunshine. Between the grand architecture and the unexpected sandy beaches along the Isar, it’s a wealthy, vibrant city.
