We booked the tour of the 3 islands and it was a really beautiful experience. Gorgeous scenery, with quite a few historical anecdotes shared by the guide. You will have the chance to go for a swim. Remember to bring your snorkeling gear, it is worth it!

This has become the site I use every time for all-inclusive ski trips. They have offers for almost every resort in France, and I still haven't found anything cheaper elsewhere. So, the question is answered pretty quickly :)

I used Abritel once to book a rental in Deauville. Overall, the apartment was clean, well located, and well equipped. We had a good stay. However, the area was noisy, even late at night, and the apartment was poorly insulated. Our sleep was a bit disrupted, which meant we were a little tired during the day. Too bad.

A bit off the beaten path from the big cities, without being wild, and easily accessible by car with a large parking lot. With a few lounge chairs and palm trees for shade, this sandy beach is nice for lounging around and swimming in warm, clear water.

This water park in northern France has both indoor and outdoor sections, with lots of slides, a "wild" river, and a canyon. Kids and adults alike can have a blast and get a little thrill. Reasonable price for the amount of things to do.

A few years ago, everyone only talked about Manchester United and Old Trafford on an international level. Since the rival club, Manchester City, was bought by Abu Dhabi, the city's second club has found its place on the British and global football map. Completely redone by the new owners, the stadium, bearing the name of the Abu Dhabi airline, has become a superb football venue. Always full, it has a welcoming and very lively atmosphere. The English fans are numerous and sing throughout the entire match. To top it all off, the style of play produced by the local team, led by the genius Pep Guardiola, is polished and spectacular.

When you come from Athens and enter the Peloponnese, Argos is one of the first towns you encounter. If you are interested in history, you will undoubtedly have stopped along the way at the Archaeological Museum of Mycenae. After the hustle and bustle of the Greek capital, the calm of Argos and the greenery of its countryside will do you good. The area is hilly and overlooks the sea. There are a few ancient sites here and there to see, some castles... A nice introduction to the Peloponnese.

A bit in the middle of nowhere, inland on the Peloponnese and in the Greek countryside, this museum features a surprisingly large collection of objects, crafts, and art from the ancient era. If you are passing through the area, it is worth taking a small detour, let's say 2 short hours.

If you are visiting Athens for a cultural trip, I highly recommend taking a day or two for a getaway to Corinth. The drive from the capital will take you about an hour. Longer if you are driving during rush hour. The city is pleasant, typical of Greece and the Mediterranean coast. It is also a major site of ancient history, with remnants of the past, old temples, and fortifications that are magnified by a spectacular natural environment between the sea and the mountains.

Great natural park where the nature is magnificent. It is not quite high mountain territory, so you do not need to be a professional hiker to enjoy it. Still, it is good to be in shape to walk a few miles in the low to mid-mountain terrain. Forests, lush green valleys, little streams, small lakes, birds, birds of prey, and a few small mammals. A real feast for the eyes for anyone who knows how to observe.

Vienna is a former imperial capital that has managed to preserve and highlight the splendor of its past while opening itself up to the modern era. Whether it is the palaces, museums, churches and cathedrals, opera houses, or tree-lined avenues, everything there is majestic. Must see

Mozart's birthplace has such a cute old town right along the river, with several historic monuments like churches and palaces. The most spectacular part is definitely visiting the fortress that overlooks the city, with its ramparts, towers, princely chambers, and even its dungeons and torture chamber.

Porto Santo Stefano is a charming village where it is really pleasant to stay while you visit the Tuscan coast. You can start by exploring the Monte Argentario peninsula on foot or by car, and then see the rest by boat :)

From this marina, you can see the boats swimming in sublime water, and in the background, you see the Portovenere hillside dominated by the Doria castle. Take a break, you are on vacation in the Cinque Terre!

Cinque Terre, what a huge and pleasant surprise when I discovered this slightly "remote" corner of the Ligurian coast. I always imagined northern Italy as very "sophisticated," and less authentic and natural than the south of the country. Cinque Terre, and villages like Portovenere, completely proved me wrong. Old-fashioned Italy, the "real" one as some would say, on rocky promontories plunging into the magnificent waters of the Mediterranean. A must-see!

Calabria is especially well endowed with beautiful beaches. In the far south of Italy, in a mountainous region, all the ingredients are there to create postcard settings. Copanello Beach is particularly pretty. The water is warm, calm, and turquoise, which is reassuring for kids. A few rocky islets brighten up the horizon, and the white sand is fine. In short, you are right there in a vacation postcard. You can even spot some fish with a mask and snorkel if you head toward the rocky areas. Small downside: it gets very crowded in high season!

Pollino National Park is the largest in Italy. Covering almost 2,000 square kilometers, it contains completely natural areas but also a few villages. It is therefore entirely possible to spend several days there by staying in guesthouses or hotels and eating on site. That can be a good idea, because there is really a lot of ground to cover, and you won't be able to do everything on foot, even in several days. Of what I saw, I particularly enjoyed the area around the village of Orsomarso. Impressive mountains, rocky peaks, lush green nature, rare plants, birds of prey, animals of all kinds, charming little streams...
