Where to stay near Disneyland Paris: the 5 areas to know in 2026

Disneyland Paris is not just a park, it is a resort: two parks side by side, Disney Village for the evening, a station at the entrance served by the RER A line from Paris and by the TGV, 6 Disney hotels within walking distance and a seventh out in the woods. Hence the first question of any trip: should you sleep in one of those hotels? The answer comes down to a single hour. Their guests walk into the parks 60 minutes before opening, everyone else does not. That hour is what you pay for, and it costs dearly.

This guide sorts the places to stay into 5 zones, from the Disney lake to the RER A line, each with its travel time to the gates, how you get there and what it costs. The early hour belongs to the first zone, and to a single property in the fourth; the others give you what the resort does not: the price, a kitchen, a real town in the evening.

How long to the entrance, area by area?

From each zone, the time to the parks and how you get there. Train times are the line's own, walking times are the ones the hotels themselves give.

From Time How
The Disney resort 5 to 20 min on foot
The Disneyland Hotel sits right on the entrance; the two furthest out, the Cheyenne and the Santa Fe, are 20 minutes away. A free shuttle loops between the hotels and the parks.
The hotel avenue in Magny-le-Hongre 10 min free hotel shuttle
One bus per hotel, from morning to night, to the park bus station.
Val d'Europe, the new town 3 min by RER, then a 5 min walk RER A, one stop
On foot, count 2 kilometres and close to 40 minutes from Val d'Europe station.
The cottages of Bailly-Romainvilliers 15 min by car
No free shuttle: public bus 2231, which you pay for, takes 25 minutes.
The RER A line: Bussy-Saint-Georges, Torcy and Paris 7 min from Bussy, 40 min from Paris RER A
Bussy-Saint-Georges and Torcy are 2 and 3 stops away; from Châtelet, count 40 minutes.

The Disney resort Six hotels between the station and the lake, walking distance from the parks

A first visit, and anyone who wants the park almost empty for an hour a day

Six Disney hotels in Chessy and Coupvray, all within walking distance or a ride on the internal shuttle. You enter Disneyland Park by walking underneath the Disneyland Hotel; the New York, Newport Bay Club and Sequoia Lodge hotels line the lake, a 15 minute walk away; the Cheyenne and the Santa Fe bring up the rear, 20 minutes out. What you buy here is not a room: it is the extra hour inside the parks every morning and free parking. Those of our members who have slept here agree on one point: too expensive to come back often, and worth it once.

It is definitely nice being able to sleep on-site, and you get an hour of peace before the crowds of visitors arrive!

The hotel sits right on the entrance to Disneyland Park, and the RER and TGV station is 5 minutes away. The hotel avenue in Magny-le-Hongre Magny-le-Hongre, 3 kilometres from the parks, a free bus per hotel

Families of 6 to 10, and anyone who wants the free shuttle without the Disney price tag

Four themed hotels lined up along a single avenue in Magny-le-Hongre, plus a 4 star standing alone on the golf course. Each has its own free bus, which reaches the parks in about ten minutes, from morning to night. What they do not have is the early morning hour. What they do have is the connecting rooms at the Explorers, sleeping up to 10, and its indoor pool, which our members mention before the parks. The downside: a housing estate of hotels, with no street or shop to walk to in the evening.

A 3 star built around children: an indoor pool with slides and connecting rooms sleeping up to 10. One member spent 2 nights here with his 4 year old daughter: “It is really close to the Disney parks (a free shuttle makes the trip in about 10 minutes) and you can enjoy the attractions as soon as they open without having to get up at the crack of dawn.”

A 4 star in the middle of the golf course, a 10 minute free shuttle ride from the parks, with some rooms looking out over the greens. The quietest address in the zone, and the only one that plays no theme at all: you come here for the calm of the golf course, not for Mickey.

Check availability

Pros

  • A free bus, from morning to night, that drops you at the parks
  • Connecting rooms for 6 to 10: the resort has none
  • A rate far below a Disney hotel for the same day inside the parks

Cons

  • The early morning hour does not exist here: it belongs to the resort
  • An avenue of hotels, with no street or shop to walk to in the evening

Val d'Europe, the new town Serris and its neighbours, one RER stop from the parks

Those who eat dinner outside the parks, do their shopping and pay less for the night

The only zone that feels like a town: a shopping centre with its supermarket, tables open late, the Sea Life aquarium on the lower level of the shopping centre and the discount designer shops of La Vallée Village, all of it around Val d'Europe station, one stop from the park station. You sleep here to pay less and for the evenings: a dinner that does not cost Disney Village prices, groceries for tomorrow's picnic. The downside is the distance: the park gates are 2 kilometres away, reached by RER, or by the hotel shuttle where there is one; on foot it is a long way for children at the end of the day.

  • 3 minutes by RER to the park station, a single stop
  • Groceries, dinner and shops within walking distance of the hotel, in the evening too
  • The cheapest rooms here, along with those on the RER A line

Cons

  • No hotel in this zone grants early entry
  • Two kilometres separate the zone from the parks: RER or shuttle, not walking

The cottages of Bailly-Romainvilliers 6 kilometres south of the parks, a kitchen and a lagoon, a car required

Week long stays: a cottage, a kitchen and a day away from the parks

South of the parks, hotels give way to woodland. Here you rent a cottage or a bungalow, with separate bedrooms, a kitchen and the car parked right outside. Villages Nature, the holiday village run by the Center Parcs group, is home to Aqua Mundo, its lagoon under glass, plus a farm and lakeside beaches: you can fill one or several days there without going to Disney; the Davy Crockett Ranch, the seventh Disney hotel, the one in the forest, keeps the early hour, without the shuttle. This is the zone for a family week, and the only one where the car is not up for debate: it is a 15 minute drive to the parks, and nothing else goes there.

Located not too far from Disneyland Paris, you can treat yourself to a super weekend with the family thanks to the water park and activities at Village Nature, followed by a visit to Disney.

The RER A line: Bussy-Saint-Georges, Torcy and Paris Chain hotels facing the stations, and Paris 40 minutes away

Those combining Paris and the parks, or after a chain room at suburban prices

The RER A runs from Paris to the parks in 40 minutes, and every station along the way is a possible base. Bussy-Saint-Georges and Torcy, 2 and 3 stops away, line up chain hotels facing their stations, at outer suburban rates. Paris, 40 minutes away by RER, is the choice of anyone who comes for the city first and plans to spend one day at the parks: our “Where to stay in Paris” guide tells you which neighbourhood. The catch is the timetable: the last train sets your return time, and you watch the night show with one eye on the clock.

Paris Stay in the city Where to stay in Paris Sleeping in Paris and coming for the day? Paris has its own guide: neighbourhoods, prices, our recommended hotels.

Pros

  • The Mercure and the Kyriad face their stations: 7 minutes by train to the parks from Bussy
  • Paris for the evenings, the parks for the day, 40 minutes of RER A in between
  • Chain rooms at outer suburban rates

Cons

  • The last RER A sets your return time, night show included
  • No free shuttle to the parks, and no early hour

Our tips for booking the right place

  • Opening times first, the hotel second: Before comparing two rooms, check the park opening times for your dates. The early hour at the Disney hotels is worth 60 minutes of an almost empty park per day: over 2 days in the parks, that is 2 hours with no queues, and that is what you are paying for. For a single day, a hotel with a free shuttle and an early start do almost as well.
  • The school calendar before the booking: The advice comes back from one review to the next, and one of our members puts it plainly: “Clearly, aim for a weekday outside of school holidays, otherwise the dream turns into a nightmare given the crowds and the wait times.”
  • Parking, counted before the room: A Disney hotel saves you the park car park, $34* a day for a car. Over 2 days, the gap with a shuttle hotel shrinks by that much. The other way round, check the car park at a hotel outside the resort: it is not free everywhere, and the B&B in Magny-le-Hongre charges for it.
Where not to stay near Disneyland Paris
  • A free shuttle hotel booked in the belief that you will get in 1 hour before opening: only the 7 Disney hotels offer that, Davy Crockett Ranch included. The shuttle does not come with the early hour.
  • A place with no shuttle and no station when you are coming without a car: in Bailly-Romainvilliers as at the Davy Crockett Ranch, everything is done by car. One member found that out on arrival: “you absolutely need a vehicle to get there, which isn't exactly practical”.
  • A Disney hotel when the parks are not the point of the trip: Disney Village is the only outing on foot, and Paris is 40 minutes away by RER. For the city, sleep in the city.

FAQ: where to stay near Disneyland Paris

Is a Disney hotel worth the price?
For the early hour and for walking in, yes, on a stay with 2 days in the parks during a busy period. The members who have been through it come back, each in their own words, to the same conclusion: the hotel is expensive, and the morning hour makes up for it. On a single day in the park, the price gap is not made up.
Where is the cheapest place to sleep around Disneyland Paris?
In Serris, in the Val d'Europe zone, then along the RER A line in Bussy-Saint-Georges and Torcy. The EKLO Marne-la-Vallée, with a cabin bed in a shared room or a studio with a kitchenette, and the Première Classe in Bussy hold the lowest prices in this guide; from either one, the RER drops you at the park gates in under 10 minutes.
Where to stay with a large family near Disneyland Paris?
In Magny-le-Hongre, on the avenue of shuttle hotels: the Explorers Hotel lines up connecting rooms sleeping up to 10 and an indoor water area, a 10 minute free shuttle ride from the parks. For a week, a cottage at Villages Nature or a bungalow at the Davy Crockett Ranch, with a kitchen, works out cheaper than two Disney hotel rooms.
Can you stay around Disneyland Paris without a car?
Yes, in 4 zones out of 5: the resort on foot, the Magny-le-Hongre avenue by free shuttle, Val d'Europe and the RER A line by train. The RER A and the TGV both stop at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy; a 5 minute walk separates the platform from the park gates. Only Bailly-Romainvilliers requires a car.
How much does parking cost at Disneyland Paris?
$34* a day for a car at the park car park, and the rate is charged by the day whatever the length of your stay. It is free for guests of the Disney hotels. Outside the resort, parking is the hotel's own: free or paid depending on the brand, worth checking before you book.
Where to have dinner in the evening without eating inside the parks?
In Val d'Europe: the shopping centre, a supermarket and restaurants open late are within walking distance of the Serris hotels. From the resort or the shuttle avenue, the evening outing is Disney Village, on foot or by bus. One of our members also suggests having lunch early, “around 11:00 or 11:30 AM, on busy days”, to eat in peace and avoid losing an hour of park time.
