About this property

Set sail for adventure right at the Disney Parks gates.

Planning a family trip to France? The Hôtel Explorers in Magny-le-Hongre offers a hotel stay close to Disneyland Paris that turns a standard vacation into a full-blown expedition. Less than a 10-minute drive from the Disney parks, the property immerses guests of all ages in a world of explorers, pirates, mermaids, and hidden treasure. From the moment you step into the lobby, you are not just checking into a hotel, you are shipping out on an epic voyage. A free shuttle runs to the Disney parks, the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station (TGV/RER), and Val d'Europe in 12 minutes, making it an ideal base camp to explore the destination without the exhaustion of long waits.

An oversized playground for young sailors

Here, the adventure continues right on the property. The indoor heated water park features a tropical atrium and three waterslides centered around a shipwreck, keeping aspiring explorers busy for hours. Out in the garden, Sir Archibald's explorer ship, a life-sized wooden vessel, offers slides and climbing courses. Inside, a two-story playground, a video and arcade game room, and a 10D cinema round out the amenities.

Guests also have access to a souvenir shop and a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff.

From themed cabins to suites: plenty of room for the whole family

The hotel features 390 rooms spread across 7 floors. Some connecting family rooms can be grouped together to accommodate up to 10 people, which works well for large families and groups of friends. To keep the immersive vibe going, the themed suites (Sea Life, Candy Suite, Pirate Suite, and Knight & Princess) turn bedtime into an adventure. Couples and groups of friends will gravitate toward the equally comfortable Executive rooms. Accessible rooms for guests with reduced mobility are also available. All rooms come with a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV (movies on demand), a telephone, a safe, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi.

Three restaurants to refuel between explorations

When it comes to dining, the hotel focuses on family-friendly casual spots. Mornings start with a breakfast buffet at La Plantation, which reopens in the evening with a generous dinner buffet. For lunch and dinner, you can grab a bite at Marco’s Pizza or take a break at the Trader’s Bar. In the evening, dining options expand to include the à la carte restaurant The Captain’s Library and the cozy atmosphere of Galion’s Pub, the spot for parents to unwind while the kids reenact their day.

A really great water park for young kids

Even though we live in the Paris area, we spent 2 nights at this hotel in the middle of August with our 4-year-old daughter, and I have such great memories of this trip.

Why this hotel? It is really close to the Disney parks (a free shuttle makes the trip in about 10 minutes) and you can enjoy the attractions as soon as they open without having to get up at the crack of dawn. You can also keep the magic going in the evening by dining at Disney Village (same thing, return on the free shuttle until late at night).

And we also spent a whole day at the hotel's water park. The slides are nice, pretty wide, and not too dizzying. I took my 4-year-old daughter with me to go down those slides, and she loved it, and so did I :)

An extremely easy family weekend to organize that will please both adults and young children.
