Manhattan Vibe and Marvel Super Heroes

This 4-star, upscale Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel is the property in the Resort that offers the quickest access to the park entrances, second only to the Disneyland Hotel. You can walk to the parks in 10 minutes or less. The atmosphere here relies on two main themes: Manhattan, naturally, and for the past few years, Marvel super heroes. While walking through the hotel, you might even run into Spider-Man, Iron Man, or other characters from the iconic American comics.

3 Accommodation Tiers

Room capacities range from 2 to 6 guests. Superior rooms can accommodate, for instance, two double beds and a double sleeper sofa. The same applies to certain suites. Some units feature a ground-floor terrace. Booking an Empire State Club room includes access to a private lounge, the Empire State Lounge, where breakfast is served in the morning, followed by snacks throughout the afternoon. Guests staying in a Suite also have access to this lounge and receive a VIP Fast Pass, which reduces wait times for Disney rides. You will not be bored at this establishment, which features indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, sports court, fitness center, and the Marvel Design Studio where kids have everything they need to get creative.

Buffet Dining or Italian Cuisine

For breakfast, you can head to the Empire State Lounge or the Downtown Restaurant. The latter also serves lunch and dinner buffet-style, with certain hot New York-inspired dishes prepared right in front of you. You can also opt for table-service Italian cuisine at the Manhattan Restaurant. To relax with a drink, visit the Skyline Bar for creative takes on classic cocktails, or the Bleeker Street Lounge for organic and craft beverages.

Mickey is hiding behind Iron Man and his crew!

Iron Man is never far away! Mickey is clearly not welcome here ;-). Unless you are a Marvel fan, this hotel is not the best fit for a first visit to the parks if you are passionate about Mickey and his crew. The rooms are very well decorated, comfortable, and relatively large. They offer standard amenities (with paid options available). The view of the lake (an optional add-on) is a real plus if you can swing it. The hotel is pretty well located for walking to the parks and is very close to Disney Village. Free shuttles are also available. The services offered by the hotel, like the pool or the gym, are a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the theme parks a bit. Business meetings and events are sometimes held here, but they can make the hotel a bit noisy at times (speaking from experience). It is way too expensive nowadays (like all Disney hotels) for regular trips, but it might be worth it for a first time!

Great atmosphere and super convenient

Just a stone's throw from the Disney parks, this hotel is decorated with an Avengers theme. The kids, and even the grown-ups, loved it. Plus, it is really convenient to be able to walk to the Disney parks and Disney Village. A real festive and vacation vibe.

Super welcoming atmosphere

In a modern, clean, and comfortable hotel, they really managed to create a super nice atmosphere with tons of Marvel references.

Overpriced for what it is

Overall, the hotel is decent and clean, but it is expensive for what it is and lacks charm for my taste (but that is subjective).

Paradise for the little ones and the big ones too

I stayed there with kids aged 7 and 9, who loved all the Marvel superhero references. As for the adults, we appreciated the cleanliness, the layout, and the room amenities, as well as the proximity to Disneyland.

When Disney meets Marvel

If you follow cultural and economic news at all, you surely haven't missed that Disney bought the Marvel license. The Hotel New York is full of references to the Avengers superheroes. Kids and young teenagers love it.
The older ones will too, and they will also appreciate the quality of the facilities and the proximity to the parks and the Village.

Clean and has its own style

Superhero vibes, 20th-century New York, and Disney, of course. That is the atmosphere that awaits you. If you are into that, go for it. Otherwise, you have other choices in the resort for a comparable price.

Good but lacks charm

I stayed there for a company seminar. Overall, it is fine, but I find it feels a bit cold, urban, and large, and it lacks a bit of charm. When I look at the photos of the Sequoia Lodge or the Newport Bay Club, for example, which are other properties at the resort, they look much warmer to me.

For Disney and US fans

Very Disney and 70s American vibe. If that is your thing, you will love it. Otherwise, you will still appreciate the cleanliness, the comfort, and the proximity to Eurodisney.
