The place nicknamed the Pearl of the West really lives up to its name. I cordially invite you to visit this UNESCO-listed wonder. Beyond the trip back in time that a visit to the rock and its medieval village will offer you, you can have a guide accompany you to explore the Bay, a natural site that is just as magnificent. But definitely get a guide for that, not only is it safer regarding the dangers of the rising tides, but the site does not easily give up all its secrets, and a good guide will be able to teach you a lot of things. If you manage to schedule your visit outside of the summer holidays, it is better, because it is overcrowded at that time of year.

Like I say in my travel journal, the part of the city located inside the walls (intra muros) is carefully preserved and it is a real pleasure to walk around if you love the sea, maritime history, or just history in general. To enjoy the beach, I do recommend having a car to go a little further out, because the coast in the immediate vicinity of Saint-Malo is not that great.

I really loved the 3 days we spent at this Center Parc. Let me explain: - We booked a floating VIP cottage (right on the water) with a private sauna and hot tub, plus drinks with a view of the lake. It was a bit pricey, but top notch! - Amsterdam is about 40 minutes away by car, such an incredible city to visit. - The marina right next door has a real harbor vibe with fireworks, so you really feel like you are on vacation. - The mini farm where you can get close to the animals without having to pay is always a hit with the kids. One small regret: the water park is a bit small compared to the number of visitors.
After visiting the Schonbrunn Palace and the Sisi Museum, which tend to bore the kids, this zoo is the moment when the whole family has a blast!

Located not too far from Disneyland Paris, you can treat yourself to a super weekend with the family thanks to the water park and activities at Village Nature, followed by a visit to Disney. It will cost you an arm and a leg, but you are guaranteed some great memories.
Soccer is such a huge part of Brazilian culture that visiting this legendary stadium on a match day is a real experience you have to live. One of the highlights of my trip to Rio.

Immense stadium that is one of the cathedrals of soccer on the scale of the American continent and the world.

Clean, relatively spacious rooms, well equipped. To eat or relax on site, there is everything you need, between the restaurant, the bar, the pool table, the fitness room ...

Pretty location with ocher-colored rocks carved into artistic shapes by the waves. The downside is that there is ultimately very little space to set up, especially at high tide, and way too many people. Being stuck on top of each other ruins the fun a bit.

Quick stop in this small town to restock before visiting Paklenica National Park. Stunning region between the sea and the mountains, dotted with picturesque villages.

This castle overlooking Bratislava offers spectacular views of the Slovak capital, the Danube, and the bridges spanning it (like the one with the alien ship). The interior has been completely redone, which might surprise some people who were expecting to find something older or period furniture. Still, there is the Slovak National Museum and the museum of ancient musical instruments, which will let you see artifacts, craftsmanship, and art that are part of the Slovak heritage.

A fortress overlooking the city and the valley, surrounded by some pretty impressive walls. Nice view of the surrounding area. The reason I think the site is undervalued is that there is very little information inside about the history of the place or its different sections. As for the maintenance of the structures, it is a bit sloppy. Instead of preserving the original materials, some damaged areas are just patched up with concrete. I think it is a shame to mix industrial concrete with old stones. Regarding the price, you have to pay about 10 LEV to enter, which is about $5. I think that is pretty reasonable. On the other hand, you have to pay an extra $1 or so to climb the church bell towe…

Huge London stadium where you can see concerts or matches for the England national football team. Recognizable by the arch that goes over the top (which doesn't serve much of a purpose from my point of view), it is immense, but the sound system is actually quite good for a concert. You can easily recognize the instruments and the artists' vocals, really great atmosphere. The light shows can also join in the fun, and it becomes a real sound and light show. I was invited to attend a Taylor Swift concert, and without being a fan of the artist, I loved the experience.

Modern art with all sorts of different objects and works to see. Some pieces are honestly interesting and intriguing, others a bit less so, or even absurd or pointless for my taste.

Galicia is mostly visited for Santiago de Compostela. Vigo might give the impression of being just an industrial and port city. Well, think again! The old town is picturesque, a hilltop castle offers you lovely panoramas of the bay and the coast, and there are a few religious monuments with beautiful architecture. Above all, if you love nature, there are many shuttles that serve the Cies Islands, which I absolutely loved visiting.

Just a few minutes from the city of Vigo, the vibe on this beach and its island is completely different. It is almost wild nature, with forest and calm waters.

Mountain lake connected to various small streams and mountain torrents. Tons of activities are possible. Of course, there is swimming, with a few beaches set up to accommodate swimmers in good conditions. The water is clear but chilly :) There are also diving schools for scuba diving in the sometimes deep waters of the lake. On the surface or around it: sailing, paddleboarding, water skiing, canyoning, rafting, via ferrata... there is something for everyone.
