Hôtel
Located on Vijzelstraat between the canals and the floating flower market, this property puts the entire historic center within walking distance.
Located on Vijzelstraat, just steps from the canals of the historic center, this 4-star hotel occupies a building that has navigated the twentieth century in Amsterdam with style. This address is ideal for travelers who want to explore on foot, from the Rijksmuseum to the banks of the Amstel, without relying on public transit.
The location
Its position on Vijzelstraat puts the hotel within a short walk of Rembrandtplein and the UNESCO-listed canal belt. The Bloemenmarkt (floating flower market) and the Munttoren (Mint Tower) are also easily reachable on foot.
A tram stop is located right outside the property, which is convenient for reaching the Central Station or the Van Gogh Museum without needing to transfer.
Rooms and comfort
The rooms favor a classic, plush aesthetic, featuring dark furniture and heavy fabrics that reflect the building's history rather than the minimalist Scandinavian style popular elsewhere in the city. Some rooms face the street, which stays lively into the evening, while others face the courtyard and are quieter.
Dining and refreshments
A bar and a breakfast area allow you to start or end your day on-site without venturing out. The surrounding neighborhood more than makes up for its own lack of dining options, with a high density of cafes and brasseries typical of central Amsterdam just a few steps away.

As for the location, nothing to complain about. It is great for visiting the center of Amsterdam.
The breakfast buffet is not bad either.
On the other hand, I have to admit that I was expecting classier rooms, given the price and the 4 stars of the establishment. The bathroom is pretty small, for example.
