During the summer of 2015, I headed to the Red Island for a three-month internship with ADEFA (Association de Défense de la Forêt d'Ambodiriana).

The organization's mission is to protect Madagascar's primary rainforest and its countless endemic species against deforestation, through studies conducted by various scientists, researchers, and interns.

Having made this journey with three friends, we stayed during the week at the camp (at the edge of the rainforest, near Ambodiriana) and on weekends in the village of Manompana (about 7 km from the forest, right on the coast), on the northwest coast of Madagascar, facing Sainte Marie Island.
