We visited this mini zoo on a whim during a walk in the Jardin des Plantes. I was expecting some kind of petting zoo with 2 goats and 3 chickens. I mean, we are right in the heart of Paris! Good surprise, it is a real little zoo with rare species, big cats, herbivores, monkeys, birds, and so on. The whole array of a real zoo is there, except for the size. Some enclosures still seem a bit small to me, especially for the big cats.

The old village is located in the mountains, where you will see some superb panoramas while enjoying a bit of a lively atmosphere (a few good terraces with local food). A small downside, the road down to the coast is quite winding, and if you do not like driving, it can be seen as a hassle. But otherwise, you can head out on hikes to rivers and waterfalls!

Tunisia is mostly known as an inexpensive beach destination, but that shouldn't make you forget the country's very rich history. To learn more about the art and craftsmanship of ancient Carthage, you should definitely check out the Bardo National Museum. You will find a really beautiful collection of mosaics there, all housed in a superb palace.

I wanted to try this solution for a business trip on my own. I didn't go through with the booking because I found flights that were €100 ($108) cheaper on Booking. It was €300 ($325) round trip on Booking versus €400 ($433) on Navan for the exact same flight. On top of that, if you are traveling with others (which is often the case for business trips, right?), you can't customize luggage options for each passenger. On Booking, you can! Too bad, because you can save a lot of money by organizing things to check as little luggage as possible.

I went through them because I had found a great rate for a weekend in Bordeaux. Finally, I had to cancel, and that is when I was afraid that the "great rate" would turn against me. I thought they would probably find some lame excuse not to refund me, despite what was advertised on the site. Well, no! No problem at all! (It is still pretty sad to have to be happy that a brand keeps its promises, that should be the norm)
The statue of Christ itself didn't really leave much of an impression on me. On the other hand, the view over the whole region is impressive!

Not much to do at the top other than look at the city of Rio, but it still remains a real curiosity worth seeing

The candelabra in the main chapel is worth the trip all on its own. It is a profusion of gold and paintings, baroque just the way we like it!

Stunning architecture and equally stunning ornaments inside. A must-see.

The pyramid is very well preserved, where you can still perfectly see the steps, the tiers, and the snakes carved along the edges.

A mysterious and intriguing place, but it does not leave a lasting impression.

England isn't really known as a romantic destination, and I mostly agree with that... except for Windsor. Between the castles and palaces, the beautiful gardens, the banks of the Thames, and the picturesque old town center, it is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend getaway.

Surrounded by the most beautiful monuments in Venice, this square is the most spectacular in the Serenissima. It is also the most crowded with tourists and pigeons (the real ones)

Imagine the gladiator shows in this huge arena? Well, it is possible. You can visit the inside of the monument, go into some of the seating areas, or walk out onto the central stage.

Some Parisian bridges were a bit like this in the past. This bridge in Florence has kept its medieval layout. A real curiosity to see with your own eyes.

A city that never gets talked about, and yet, a nice downtown, interesting museums... it deserves a one or two day stop if you are doing a US East Coast trip.

Casablanca is a big city that does not have the beauty and charm of other smaller Moroccan destinations. Even so, it is worth a visit. You will be surprised by its many contrasts. Flashy, modern buildings stand side by side with old, dilapidated ones, and fancy Moroccan or international restaurants coexist with street food vendors, while obviously wealthy people share the sidewalk with destitute people rummaging through trash cans. Beyond these contrasts, there are still things to see like the Hassan II Mosque of course (you can visit the inside without being Muslim, which is rare enough to be worth noting), but also the medina, the corniche...

Really a destination that I love. With Eurostar, it is very easy to get there and so, I try to spend little weekends there regularly. Well, it is still easier if you have friends there who can host you :) I find that there is an energy and a creativity there that gives you a big boost.
