An airline that claims to be the low-cost version of Air France, but offers pretty much the same flights, on the same planes, for prices that are barely any lower. The little differences: you have to pay for your meal, your checked baggage...

Sacred place with beautiful architecture and, above all, a slightly mystical atmosphere that feels nothing like the artificial vibe you can get in some places of worship that have been turned into tourist attractions.

Perfect place to get some fresh air and cool off on the North Sea beaches, which are really right at the doorstep of your cottage. The facilities themselves are not too bad for the kids. For adults, I find that you get through them pretty quickly (meaning, I am not going to spend a week going down water slides, even if it is fun).

I was worried about spending so many hours on a plane to get to Indonesia, but it went really well. The planes were clean and comfortable, the meals were high quality, and the staff was attentive, especially with the kids (it is better if you speak English). The layover in Doha is great, the airport is awesome. Despite the luxury image, the prices are not excessive.

I am not used to treating myself to stays in this type of hotel, but I was gifted a weekend here and it is truly exceptional. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, with lovely views of Paris. The pool is a real delight.

With the beach right at the foot of the residence, it is super convenient for families. The staff and activity leaders are very friendly. On the other hand, the accommodations feel a bit dated and the meals lack variety and freshness. Mixed feelings, then.

Its long Y-shape gives Lake Como a very long shoreline, with very varied landscapes and charming villages to visit. You can easily plan a week without getting bored, especially if you like hiking or biking.

Huge lake with beautiful colors ranging from deep blue to green in some areas. Surrounded by lush green mountains and picturesque villages, the setting is truly ideal for relaxing, unplugging, destressing, and recharging. I even think it would be great to do a yoga retreat there.

The residence is located in a really beautiful area on the southwest coast. It is right by the beach, a bit away from the busy main roads of the city, without being too far from amenities either. Where things could improve is the service: - Cleaner rooms - Less waiting at meals - The same selection of dishes for those who arrive first as for those who arrive last (after all, we paid the same price)

With a lift ticket costing around fifty euros per person, but such a tiny ski area, slopes you can cover in a few minutes, and often limited snow (which means slopes are frequently closed)... it is just way too expensive. I suggest you look elsewhere if you are interested in skiing. I have not tried it in the summer, but the area must be nice to explore at that time of year.

With its 2 sides, this resort lets you ski in the sun all day long, weather permitting of course. Just a heads up, not all the runs are necessarily open, even when the snow seems to be there. Check before you go.

If you are looking for a small mountain village to retreat to, Chamonix will not meet your expectations. This is a small mountain town, with a population of a few thousand residents living there year round. There are quite a few activities to do besides skiing, and some very beautiful hikes with lovely views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding area. As for skiing, sports enthusiasts will find what they are looking for with a ski area known and recognized by experts on the slopes.

For about 50 euros per adult and 30 per child, you can spend the day at this Center Parc, with access to the Aqua Mundo but also to the animal farm. Going there with the family is a great idea. There is also a beautiful outdoor garden and lakeside beaches for the summer...

It really wasn't my first choice when I ended up getting roped into going for 2 days. In the end, I loved it. Most of the attractions are doable as a family. The night show pulls you into its magic. The place is big and clean, and it's easy to get around.

The yurts are perfectly suited for hosting families of 5. There is enough space for each child to have their own ground level bed. The furniture is supposed to immerse you in the era of Francis I. It is not totally successful, but it does not feel cheap either. The bathrooms and toilets could use better ventilation. The breakfast buffet is pretty standard, with a decent variety of sweet and savory options.
