A quaint little village at the foot of the Alps, known for its 2 castles. These 2 castles are of course a must-see, especially Neuschwanstein, which is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. But make sure to take some time to hike around the region too, the Bavarian Alps are gorgeous!

Not a huge soccer fan, but an experience you have to live. I absolutely do not regret taking the opportunity to see a Bundesliga match in this stadium. The atmosphere in the stands, the dizzying and spectacular view are incredible. You almost forget to watch the game on the pitch. Honestly, I don't even remember the score :)

I didn't have much time to enjoy this hotel because we only spent one night there. The decor inspired by the African continent is original and pretty well done. The staff is lovely. On the other hand, I found the meals were expensive compared to the quality. And you have to take the car to get to the zoo. It is pretty quick by car, but on foot, it is a bit too far, especially if you have young children with you.

Before this one, I had only visited the Vincennes Zoo. I was surprised by the size of the Zooparc de Beauval: it is super big! Just walking through the park at a leisurely pace will take you some time. And that time is pleasant because the path is well laid out, the natural surroundings are quite convincing, and the animals have enough space to give the impression of having normal behavior. Kids and adults loved this visit, we spent an entire day there without even noticing the time passing.

From the outside, this museum doesn't look like much (is that on purpose? Is it to create an illusion? Sorry, I had to make the joke). The inside is relatively small, but there are still quite a few illusions and games to see or do. If you do everything (in some cases, you have to stare at pictures to see hidden drawings appear), it takes a good hour. You book your visit time in advance, and I imagine that is what helps keep it from getting too crowded. Some perspectives are really surprising, and you can take photos (I am thinking in particular of the room where, depending on your position, you look much bigger or smaller). I do not think I am telling you anything new, but the Pyramids of Giza, very close to Cairo, are one of the 7 wonders of the world. These stone structures, which have withstood 4000 years of history, are very impressive. They are even more so if you put their construction into context. Given the technical means of the time, they seem disproportionate. I actually think the same thing about the great medieval cathedrals. A very different city from other Spanish destinations like Barcelona or Seville. Madrid feels more modern, and the historical heritage is more spread out. You will find great museums like the Prado, and elegant architecture around areas like the Puerta del Sol. I also discovered some places to eat where you can get a good, filling meal for a reasonable price.

Home to a legendary club, Real Madrid, which is by far the most decorated in Europe. On match days, you won't find just some exceptional atmosphere, but rather the very special vibe of a knowledgeable crowd that has been coming here from generation to generation.

Whether you are with family, friends, or a partner, it is pretty hard not to have fun in these two parks. There are rides for every taste and scenery that takes you right back to the movies that defined so many people's childhoods. For thrills, I recommend Space Mountain and the Tower of Terror (the one where the elevator drops). For family moments, go for the pirate ship or Buzz Lightyear.

If you follow cultural and economic news at all, you surely haven't missed that Disney bought the Marvel license. The Hotel New York is full of references to the Avengers superheroes. Kids and young teenagers love it. The older ones will too, and they will also appreciate the quality of the facilities and the proximity to the parks and the Village.

Destroyed and rebuilt several times, Osaka Castle is a beautiful example of a Japanese fortress. The walls are angular and massive, and they sit in moats that give them a lot of charm. Behind the walls, there is a superb garden that is worth a visit all on its own. Finally, the keep is elegant, especially with its multi-level roof. I suggest you go inside to see the museum that tells the history of Osaka and the castle. Head up to the top floor to see the panoramic view of the surrounding area.

The site is historic, and it has seen our ancestors pass through for thousands of years. From that point of view, history buffs won't be able to resist the urge to visit the Parthenon. That being said, the structures are pretty poorly preserved and you will need a good dose of imagination to picture yourself in the ancient era. Too bad! Ps: avoid the place in the summer, it is crowded and it is a real oven!

Located on the edge of Lake Geneva, right next to the famous Jet d'Eau, the English Garden is a very pretty park where it is nice to walk around and just hang out. It is known for its flower clock, but there is more to it than just that. It is the largest park in the city, and it really adds to the quality of life in Geneva.

In a country that tends to reach high into the sky to show off its wealth (I am talking about architecture), this mosque stands out for its horizontal spaces inside and around it, with lovely gardens and reflecting pools. It also stands out for the care put into its decor and its relative white and gold sobriety. As you get closer, you will see that there are arabesques everywhere, the marbles take on different colors inside, and the chandeliers add a panoply of hues and sparkles that contrast with the monochrome exterior.
