An old artificial lake in a desert region, surrounded by temples of all kinds, which gives this place the feel of a spiritual sanctuary. A rare example where human construction and natural elements combine well.

The zoo is located in a huge park where the animals have quite a bit of space to roam. You need several hours of walking to see it all! And it is worth it because there are really many types of animals to see, from the most ordinary to the most exotic, including some seriously creepy snakes!

While the Palais des Papes impresses you with its size, the cathedral right next door plays it low-key with more modest dimensions (compared to other cathedrals, I mean). The interior is still very elegant, and the exterior benefits from its elevated position on a rock to get noticed. The garden around it is relaxing.

A massive building with dimensions that will impress you, especially once you are inside. You will see period furniture and decor. By heading out to the outdoor terraces, you will have some pretty views of the region.

A city you hear very little about, yet the old center is full of charm, especially around the Gros Horloge square. To make things even better, there are quite a few nice restaurants at reasonable prices.

Great memories from a hike in this park. It is a workout because there is a lot of elevation gain, but it is not acrobatic (I do not do rock climbing). Superb views of the high mountains. We were able to see what looked like a golden eagle, a huge bird!

In a relatively small space (you really need to book your time slot, or you risk waiting at the entrance), you go through a series of "works" that will surprise you and amuse you, but also explain why our perceptions and our vision get tricked. I confirm, it is ideal to do with kids.

I had seen various documentaries that made me want to visit Jordan, but I was a bit apprehensive about organizing my own trip to this country. What if I ran into dishonest people or was left to fend for ourselves in dangerous places? It was reassuring to go through a recognized agency. Everything went really well, from the sightseeing schedule and the local guides to the chosen accommodations. I recommend Terres d'Aventure without a doubt! I discovered a country and people that deserve to be better known.

Hotel inspired by the Louis XIV era, royalty in all its grandeur, gilding, and so on. Great welcome, great rooms, cozy and romantic as can be. A little more expensive than the other hotels at Puy du Fou, but perfect for a great time as a couple.

During the nice weather, from May until the summer vacation, after-work events are organized there on Thursday nights: the Jeudis at the Hippodrome Paris Longchamp. The vibe is really nice, there is music, big open-air spaces, and drinks that aren't too expensive. The only downside is that getting to the place is a bit complicated compared to central Paris.

Lots of paintings by Spanish masters like Murillo or Zurbaran, plus a few sculptures. The works are often religious in nature, and the museum itself is actually set up in a beautiful old convent. Remember to look up, as the ceilings and vaults in some of the rooms are decorated magnificently. There are several patios scattered throughout the grounds, with little gardens, small fountains, or ponds. It really adds to the charm of the place. Plan for 1 to 2 hours. Bonus: entry is free for European citizens.

I would not recommend this city in the summer because it is so hot, but it offers plenty of things to do and see. I loved walking along the Guadalquivir and ducking into the narrow streets leading off the docks, following the sounds and lights spilling out from them.

Located in a pretty park, near the Plaza de España, the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions is free for European citizens (remember to bring your passport with you). It would be a shame not to give it a chance. You will be able to discover many pieces of Andalusian and Mediterranean craftsmanship: lace, costumes, ceramics, everyday objects, and goldsmith work. There are even recreations of artisan workshops.

This place is out of this world. Several buildings with futuristic yet elegant architecture welcome you into a green setting where you can get around on foot, by bike, or even in a rowboat. Must-see: shows, museums, an aquarium... Honestly, kids and adults alike are going to love it.

A great place for a fun and educational outing with kids. Basic principles of science and mechanics are explained in simple terms, with demonstrations, explanations, and most importantly, objects to interact with. This is where both kids and adults can learn by doing, which is always more interesting and engaging than pure theory.
