I went there right after visiting the archaeological site. The museum is fairly small, but it has some really beautiful pieces. It would be a shame to miss it. I was impressed by the Charioteer of Delphi, the marble Kouroi, and the sphinx. The chronological layout makes it easy to find your way around. Plan on about an hour and a half to see everything.

I was curious to discover this palace that served as a residence for Sissi. Just as I imagined, the setting is a real haven of peace. I really loved the gardens, which aren't very well maintained, but they offer a beautiful view of the sea and feature magnificent statues of Achilles. I was surprised by the size of this museum, which is really very vast and has numerous works on display. You can admire sculptures, paintings, frescoes, statues... You will need at least two to three hours on site. It is a must-see in Athens.

Very beautiful museum located at the foot of the Acropolis. Numerous original artifacts are on display, such as objects, statues, and friezes from the Parthenon. The museum offers several information resources, with models, reconstructions, and videos. The ticket also provides access to the ruins located under the museum as well as the panoramic terrace on the top floor.

Compared to the modern architecture of the new Acropolis Museum, visiting this neoclassical building is still a must for me. The museum is packed with exceptional works from major archaeological sites, especially Mycenae. From funerary stelae and sumptuous gold objects, including the famous death mask of Agamemnon, to Minoan frescoes and the statue of Athena, you just do not know where to look first. The signs also provide valuable information, both about the pieces themselves and the history of Greece. A must-do.

Do not miss the five sublime caryatids of the Erechtheion. The price of 20 euros is a bit expensive, but it is worth the cost.
