Located in Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois, the Grotte des Demoiselles is a subterranean gem of the Cevennes. Reach it via a historic funicular to see spectacular formations, including the famous stalagmite known as La Vierge à l'Enfant. The massive main chamber, called the Cathédrale des Abîmes (Cathedral of the Abyss), creates an unforgettable geological display. Guided tours last about an hour.
