This beach could have had so much charm, but it is just so crowded and so packed with lounge chairs and other tourist traps that you do not feel in touch with nature at all. A real shame.

It is very famous on the island of Skiathos and you have to get there early if you want to pick your spot. Because of the cliffs, some areas stay in the shade longer. I had read that little beach shoes would help you walk on the stones and rocks that are a bit sharp in some places. It is a good idea! The setting and the water are stunning!!

Unfortunately, in the middle of the season, the constant back and forth of boats and the crowding of vacationers make it feel a bit like a factory. This tiny little cove is famous for one curiosity: cold, sulfuric(?) water springs that flow directly into the sea. They say these waters have healing properties for skin issues and rheumatism. In my case, it didn't cure my back pain. It was crowded, the water was cold, and it smelled like rotten eggs. In short, a bit of a disappointment. Remember to bring water shoes, the gravel is pretty sharp.
