Visiting the Museum of the Altos - Former Convent of Saint-Dominic
Located in the historic center of San Cristóbal de las Casas, the former Convent of Saint-Dominic stands as one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city. Unfortunately, in March 2018, the convent was closed and the church facade was covered in scaffolding because of the September 2017 earthquake. Monuments take a long time to get reinforced.
