Visiting the Beatles Story Museum
The Beatles Story Museum, located on the docks, is the way Liverpool pays homage to its legends John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison.
Step into the world of the Fab Four
You enter their world to trace the music and legacy left behind by the most famous rock band in history. Costumes, studio setups, recreations, and vintage instruments are all gathered here to walk you through the band's history. Highlights of the visit include a recreation of the Cavern Club, George Harrison's first guitar, and a pair of glasses that belonged to John Lennon. The solo careers of each member are also featured.
Emotional highlights
The white room, featuring the famous white piano from John Lennon's song Imagine, is a highlight. You can also step inside the iconic Yellow Submarine while the chorus of the song plays.
A dedicated area, the Discovery Zone, allows children to explore the history of the Beatles through interactive screens.
The tour is self-guided using an audio guide featuring the voice of Julia, John Lennon's sister. The museum also has an annex on the docks containing temporary exhibits and a 4D animation film with special effects like moving seats and water sprays. It is both surprising and entertaining. The museum was recognized as one of the best tourist attractions in the United Kingdom in 2015.

Even though I am not particularly a fan of the Beatles, I found the visit to this museum really very interesting. You learn a lot about the band's history and their evolution over the years. The museum houses very rich collections, whether it is personal items or even outfits. For my part, I recommend it to everyone, even those who are not fans of the band.
