7 trips and zero issues

Hey

I currently have seven trips under my belt with Promovacances, and I have never had a problem so far. My last trip was to the Canary Islands, a super hotel, "LE SHERATON" in Fuerteventura, which was awesome when you just want to do nothing, anyway...

I recommend going with Promovac to my friends.

As for me, I am waiting for the next ones :D

Morocco and Thailand

We have been traveling with Promo Vacances for 2 years now and we are thrilled with them.

We left on a Saturday for Morocco and everything went very well, even with a booking made just 4 days before.

We also left for Thailand with a booking made 1 week before. I actually had someone on the phone at 11:30 PM and everything went very well.
Each time, the trips have matched the descriptions on the website.

For our part, we only travel with Promo Vacances because the price to quality ratio is spot on. However, this is just our opinion and our point of view.

Never had any issues for us

We just got back from 15 days in Egypt, a cruise in Hurghada and Cairo. Everything was great except maybe the food, but it is not France.

We have traveled with Promovacances many times and never had any issues.

Cultural tour in Sicily

I went with Promovacances to Sicily for a 7-day full-board cultural tour in May. It was impeccable, but my only complaint is that the group was way too big, with 53 people on the bus.

No real issues, except for the flight times

Hello,

I went to Egypt (15 days for €1,200, or about $1,300, in April) and Croatia (1 week for €400, or about $430, in July) with Promovacances...

As far as I am concerned, I had a pleasant stay each time, even though there are some things that could be improved in how the trip is handled, especially the round-trip flights. The departure times were very early in the morning (around 5 a.m.), so it is not easy to get to the airport, and the schedules are not always respected. In Egypt, we ended up spending the night at the airport... not great!

For the rest, the quality of the hotels and meals was decent for the prices paid...

After reading other reviews on this site, I think they also need to improve their customer service in case of disputes...

I think this kind of site exists so that the tour operator or operators take everyone's feedback into account, and that over time, each one of them can make the necessary changes to satisfy their customers regarding both price and quality... right??

Best regards

Extra baggage fees on the return flight

At booking:
When we confirmed the purchase of our trip online (we had not selected the insurance), the site told us there were no spots left. We tried the process again a few seconds later, this time forgetting to uncheck the proposed insurance (€140), and then, as if by magic, the purchase was confirmed. I immediately called Promovacances to have them cancel the insurance, but they told me it was impossible because the plane tickets and hotel were already booked, even though only 5 minutes had passed between the confirmation and my call (a call that cost me €12). I then sent several emails to Promovacances and their insurance provider with no results.

It is worth noting that when we booked, the return flight was a direct flight. We were surprised to see on our voucher that it was no longer direct, but a flight with a layover in Barcelona departing Palma at 7:00 AM instead of the original 9:00 AM.

On the return:
We had to get up at 3:30 AM to catch the 4:10 AM bus for the transfer between the hotels and the Palma airport. When checking our bags with Vueling, imagine our surprise when they asked us to pay a significant €140 for our 2 suitcases because it had not been included by Promovacances (€70 for the Palma-Barcelona leg and €70 for the Barcelona-Bordeaux leg).

Once we got home, we sent a complaint to Promovacances and they replied that it was normal, as the carrier could choose to charge for baggage or not whenever they wanted!!!!

So, it is up to you to decide!!!

Bad surprise with the 3rd bed in a triple room

I just got back from a trip to Cyprus at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel in Paphos.

For your info, do not be like us, before booking a triple room check if you will get 3 identical beds and not two beds plus a cot. ???

Good and affordable

For all-inclusive trips to the Costa Brava in Spain, I have no complaints. The flight, transfer, hotel, and even the excursions all went well. Everything happened on schedule, and there were people wearing the agency colors to guide you whenever you needed it.
Price-wise, it was the cheapest option I found during my search.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLLOW-UP

In late December, we booked a tour to Mexico departing from Lyon. Four days before departure, we were informed that we had to leave on Friday, even though we were promised a Saturday morning departure from our local city when we booked. It was impossible for us to get to the capital on Friday because we work. We called customer service, and they sent us to the regulation department, the only team capable of fixing the situation, but they can only be reached by email. Unfortunately, the department never contacted us and left us without any information or calls just days before our trip. We had to figure out our own way to get to Paris on Saturday morning. Once we arrived in Paris, our ticket to Mexico City was blocked because we had not taken the preliminary flight from Lyon to Paris the day before. Promovacances, who had been informed of our plan via email, of course did not think it was necessary to warn us about the risk of this consequence if we missed the Lyon to Paris flight. Stuck in Paris, we had to shell out €500 (about $540) per passenger to unblock our ticket so we could go on the Mexico tour we had booked. We strongly condemn their lack of customer follow-up once the trip is paid for and the total lack of communication just days before departure. They leave you without information, in doubt, and make absolutely no effort to help or advise their customers. CUSTOMER FOLLOW-UP IS NONEXISTENT, I do not recommend PROMOVACANCES.

Mixed feelings about a "one week" trip to Egypt

Hi everyone, I just got back from Egypt. We did the Nile cruise package plus transfers, then Hurghada and Cairo. We visited everything, and it was super! On the other hand, the transfer from Hurghada to Cairo was very poorly organized. It was 7 hours by bus, and of course, it was in the middle of the day, so we lost a whole day. For the return to Paris, we lost another day. The trip was supposed to be Saturday night departure and return Saturday afternoon, but the return flight took off SATURDAY at 5 a.m. from Cairo, then a layover in Luxor, landing at noon at Roissy Charles de Gaulle. They drop you off at the airport at 2 a.m., so that was a great night, right!!!! Otherwise, the 5-star hotel in Hurghada, I do not remember its name but it replaced Le Meridien, was very pretty, but it is a resort with 50 percent Russians and 2,600 people! You feel like you are in a school cafeteria, the noise!!! Watch out! The hotel facilities are very good! Otherwise, not poorly organized!!!! Customer service unreachable

I booked a weekend in Venice in August through Promovacances. During the online booking process, I was supposed to receive a confirmation email, but nothing. I tried to reach them, waited 5 minutes, and hung up. I am fed up with this premium rate number. Should a customer who pays for their trip really be treated this way? Don't they owe us a little consideration and some basic customer service?

Better in a physical office

Treasures of Guatemala-Honduras tour: The tour itself was fine, a good value for the price. The welcome at Orly by a vague representative of the tour operator was brief, no small travel guide or itinerary booklet. We had booked at a Promovacances agency in Paris, which allows you to have a person in the flesh in front of you and not someone on the phone who is less attentive to you. In fact, we had a mishap 4 years ago, Promovacances had forgotten to book our flight and we had gone through operators on the phone. Great deals for Morocco

I used Promovacances once to go to Morocco. It went well, and the deal was really interesting. I often see Promovacances positioned well in package vacation offers. I have a really positive opinion of them! See ya!

Disappointed by the quality

Price-wise, they might be well-positioned, but in terms of quality, it's a disappointment.

My review of Promovacances

I traveled with Promovacances this summer, and the downsides were with the booking process. We chose a last-minute trip, so the offer showed as available, we made the booking, and then it turned out it wasn't possible anymore because the flight was full even though the hotel was available! So, we had to start searching all over again. The big catch is the phone surcharge for booking. I find it more than abnormal that I have to pay just to book. Otherwise, I was always greeted very well on the phone, and the operators were competent. The trip itself, nothing to complain about, everything matched the description, well organized: airport welcome, round-trip transfers. Oh wait, when we arrived, flight in the late afternoon and arrival at the hotel around 10:30 PM, we didn't get a meal because the restaurant was closed, and we only had a snack on the plane. There is a big effort needed regarding this because there were about forty of us and the hotel knew we wouldn't have eaten! Review imported on 11/04/2020 from our old site Voyage-Net.com

Exploring the USA

Hello, we took a trip with Promovacances to the United States this summer and I have to say we were very satisfied. I was hesitant at first about going on a "cheap" trip for such a destination. The only small issue is that if you want to get in touch with the Promovacances service team for info before you leave, it is not always easy because there is no specific person following your file (for online bookings). I think it is better to go through one of their agencies. But my husband and I were traveling with someone who had already gone with them and recommended them to us. We did have the unpleasant surprise of a fuel surcharge (classic, though I do not know if it ever works the other way around). The trip matched the description, the hotels were very good, the food was overall pretty good (we were afraid of being on a hamburger diet before we left), and the tour was magnificent and very complete, even if we were sometimes a little frustrated not to spend more time in certain places. We would head out with Promovacances again without any problem if the opportunity arises. :) Avis importé le 04/11/2020 depuis notre ancien site Voyage-Net.com

Pleasant surprise for stays in France

We were very pleasantly surprised by our two stays offered by Promovacances in France at a super low price !! One in Capvern-les-Bains, the second in Autun, which were also good base camps for visiting these two regions. If a new offer that might interest us comes up (and why not abroad this time, but departing from Marseille) we will definitely sign up because we were very very satisfied with the services that PROMOVACANCES offers, so see you soon. Mediterranean cruise

Awesome! We went on a one-week Mediterranean cruise at the end of August and came back thrilled. Everything was OK, starting with the promotional price. Excellent organization from start to finish, impeccable service, great hospitality from all the staff, and the ship cabins were luxurious. There were optional excursions for every taste and every budget. Just one small downside regarding the meals: not much fresh fruit and the fruit juices were of poor quality. Thrilled

We went to Tunisia with Promovacances in September. Very good price for a 5-star hotel, the Iberostar Saphir Palace in Yasmine Hammamet. We are thrilled with our stay and we recommend Promovacances for a worry-free vacation. Review imported on 11/04/2020 from our old site Voyage-Net.com

Never had any issues

I have taken several trips with Promovances, the last one being in September to Zarzis. The Hotel Zephyr matched the description perfectly and we were thrilled. Since I have never had any issues at the various places we have stayed, I can only recommend this agency. However, because I also take very long-distance trips, I would not use them for a last-minute booking. Review imported on 11/04/2020 from our old site Voyage-Net.com
