It's a Spanish-style hotel up in the hills above the city. You'll definitely want a car to get there because it's a steep climb!! It's very clean, and the rooms are spacious. The grounds are leafy, with a pool and views of the mountains and the sea. There's a restaurant with a big seating capacity. It's a bit pricey though. There's also a spa you can use for an extra 20 euros per person. They offer massages and treatments too. The downside is the soundproofing. You can hear other guests in the neighboring rooms, in the hallway, and outside.

We spent a short stay at Camping Les Cèpes in La Salvetat-sur-Agout, and we loved it. Located near Lac de la Raviège, the campground offers mobile homes as well as bare pitches for tents and caravans. It's a small campground with a very family-run feel and a warm welcome. There are plenty of sports activities you can do on your own, including mountain bike rentals to go explore the area. One small downside: the campground is built on a hill, which means some pretty serious climbs to get around the site. Luckily, the setting is worth it!

The Carré Sainte-Anne is an unusual art venue just steps from the Arc de Triomphe. It used to be a church, built at the end of the 19th century. It's the highest point of Montpellier's Écusson, and no building is allowed to rise above it. The church was deconsecrated in the late 80s. It was closed for many years for renovation. Since reopening, it regularly hosts art exhibitions. Among them was the Adventice exhibition by the famous JR, made up of the handprints of 45,000 people. It was very poetic. Admission is free. So I recommend visiting this place, where you can take in art in a very uncommon setting.

Castelldefels is a town located between Barcelona and Sitges, and Sitges is probably the better known of the two. Still, this beach resort of about 60,000 residents has quite a few things going for it. The first big plus is the beach. About 5 km long, it's straight and easy to get to. Castelldefels is also known for its rowing facilities. The canal hosted the rowing events of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. In the upper part of town, the terrain gets more mountainous, and Castelldefels Castle looks down over the city. Visiting costs around ten euros (about $11) and gives you a great overall view of the town and the coast. There's a good range of hotels, which makes a stay here easy to…

A gorgeous, wild, and untouched lake nestled in the Hauts Cantons, right on the border of Hérault and Tarn. Much less crowded than Salagou, and super family friendly. The setting really takes you away from it all, with the fir forests contrasting sharply with the southern French garrigue scrubland. In winter, when it snows, people call it the little Canada of Hérault!! Several developed beaches make it easy to access the lake, which is surrounded by hotel restaurants if you want to grab a bite or stay overnight. On the activity front, there is something for everyone: pedal boats, paddleboarding, canoeing, boating, and a treetop adventure park. During heatwaves, locals from Hérault have made it a habit to come here to cool off and avoid the crowds on the coast.

It is located in the heart of the Hérault between Montpellier and Béziers. It is an artificial lake that was created to allow the irrigation of the Hérault plain in the late 1960s. What is surprising about it is the red earth, which is rich in iron oxide. All the hills are red, which makes for a real change of scenery. It is a place where you can swim, there is a water sports center, and otherwise, given its size, it is possible to find spots where there is nobody around. It is an area where there are many hippies who live in harmony with nature. As soon as the nice weather arrives, there are many vans that come to bivouac.

Located 20 minutes from Montpellier, this lake is actually private. It is accessible, though, by paying for parking, €5 for adults and €3 for children. There is an outdoor café set up and the view is really nice. The water color is gorgeous and the view with the pine trees surrounding this lake is gorgeous. You can go hiking around the lake through the pine trees. I am bummed that parking is not free anymore, since before you could come here without having to pay.
Convenient
So it is convenient because it lets you avoid having to hunt down a store or an operator shop at the airport. The small plans are pretty good, but not the ones with a lot of data.
Great prices

Works just like Booking. I actually use it interchangeably with them for my trips to Paris. The more you use it, the more discounts you get. The selection is great for Europe. You can view properties on a map, which is super convenient, and you can filter by rates, etc. When it comes to payments, you can pay later with free cancellation, which is really handy.

I had booked a flight from Marseille to Milan with my family of 5 people. We wanted to check in online, but the website was glitching so we didn't do it ahead of time. Arriving at the airport, the check-in desk was closed and we had to ask to get checked in. We were there 1 hour and 30 minutes before the flight, which was delayed on top of that.We were asked to pay about 50 euros per person to check in because they considered it was past the deadline. In total, an extra 250 euros!!!!!They wouldn't listen about the issue we had online.I called customer support several times and they hung up on me.Outrageous practices and appalling customer service

In Marseille, there is a special atmosphere. It is a city of departures and arrivals to and from the world, and at the same time it has a Provençal tradition that you see when you watch the people who live here, even though it is getting a bit sanitized in certain neighborhoods. The immediate proximity to the sea and the presence of beaches makes you feel like you are on vacation pretty much all year round. I recommend the traditional markets to truly feel the soul of Marseille. Marseille is also a city of contrasts with upscale neighborhoods like the ones up in La Valentine and the housing projects.
