Talisay and Taal Volcano
One of the most popular excursions near Tagaytay is a trip to Talisay to see the Taal Volcano up close. Taal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines and is located on the island of the same name, right in the middle of Taal Lake. However, due to recent volcanic activity and the associated risks, it is currently not possible to hike to the crater rim. Local authorities have restricted access to the area for safety reasons.
Despite that, we were able to enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Taal Volcano from observation decks and high-altitude restaurants in Tagaytay. The majestic beauty of the volcano and the surrounding landscape offers a fascinating glimpse into the power of nature. It is important to respect the regulations in place and follow the instructions of local authorities when visiting these areas.
Local cuisine to discover
