Perfect for hiking, I love walking the trails that offer beautiful views of this land of contrasts. Here, the limestone is as white as the sky is blue! As a bonus, the pine trees provide welcome shade after a good walk. The best part is still taking a dip in the clear water of the Calanques de Morgiou or En-Vau!

The park is home to many summits where glaciers are hidden, and some peaks even reach 4,000 meters in altitude. For my part, I stopped at 3,000! And it was already extraordinary, the mountains, the birds of prey, and the silence. Les Ecrins is worth the trip! Plan for several days to discover this huge territory. Plus, I was able to spot several chamois, a beautiful moment.

The small Saint Maurin Nature Reserve is a nature lover's gem. I loved wandering around looking for waterfalls in this wild corner of the Gorges du Verdon. This natural area is ideal for finding a cool spot in this arid part of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Between the stunning viewpoints, forests, and waterfalls, it is a mandatory stop!

The Queyras Regional Natural Park is an ideal destination for nature lovers! I loved this spot where the peaks flirt with 3000 meters of altitude, plus you can find deep forests and dizzying waterfalls! The nature reserve is crisscrossed with miles of hiking trails, and there is something for every skill level. For my part, I have a soft spot for the Ristolas reserve, at the end of the hike there is an exceptional view of Mont Viso in Italy! As for the villages, special mentions for Saint-Véran and Ristolas, mountain atmosphere with their chalets and high-altitude farms.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful national parks I have ever seen. It is huge and full of spectacular hikes. Between the mountains and the lakes, the breathtaking scenery is just incredible. For me, the best hikes are in the Vallée des Merveilles. Obviously, with a name like that, you cannot make it up!! In the spring, you can see marmots and chamois out and about!

The Camargue Regional Nature Park is really well preserved, both in terms of flora and fauna. You can see horses, bulls, and especially flamingos in their natural habitat. It is the perfect place for a walk, especially in the morning when there is no one else around yet.

I loved my visit to this bird park. The park is vast and well maintained, and you can see many species of birds, especially flamingos. I saw a lot of them and from pretty close up. I recommend bringing binoculars. Plan on at least two hours there.

A huge space to head out on an adventure and get a big breath of fresh air! I was impressed by the unique landscape with the little terraces. Between the water and the greenery, it is a real slice of paradise. Very wooded, you will also have plenty of shade, which makes it a perfect outing for the warmer season. Of course, I recommend the waterfall first and foremost.

I did not expect to like the Camargue this much. And yet. Here, you have nature at its finest, vast open spaces. Pink flamingos in the sky as soon as you look up. Wildlife everywhere. I recommend visiting the bird park but also the Domaine de Méjanes and going for a walk around the Vaccarès!

Calanques National Park is simply exceptional. The trails, more or less steep, wind between scrubland and jagged rocks, offering breathtaking views of the turquoise sea at every turn. The hikes there are varied and memorable. It is better to get well informed before heading out, however, because access is often restricted in the summer. I love this place with the scents of the pine forest and the scrubland...
