I found this museum very pleasant to visit, but also very big! Between the temporary and permanent exhibits, there is something for everyone. I left with a little more knowledge and some pretty photos. The museum is connected to Fort Saint-Jean: if you walk for a few minutes, you discover a beautiful outdoor space. A great place to spend the afternoon!

Very beautiful museum, located in a magnificent private mansion. Old-fashioned atmosphere, beautiful furniture... I was delighted! The rooms are very beautiful and very bright. Another plus: everything in this vast residence is open to visitors. You really have plenty to keep you busy if you take the time to look at everything. Admission is free if you have visited the perfume museum, so there is no reason to skip it!

A place full of charm with its colorful building! I learned so much about perfumes. The exhibit is really comprehensive and goes from antiquity to high fashion. I also loved discovering the old objects and perfumes. For me, it is a place that will please both kids and adults. You will discover a world full of delicious scents and elegance.

Located in the beautiful Château Grimaldi, this small museum highlights Picasso's time in Antibes. It features paintings, but also sketches and some beautiful sculptures. I was a little disappointed by the number of works, because only one floor is dedicated to the painter. The other rooms are reserved for temporary exhibits, which weren't very exciting on the day of my visit. On the other hand, the outdoor terrace is magnificent and offers a superb view of the city. Go if you like Picasso and to enjoy the panorama. One hour is more than enough for a visit.

Located in an old chapel, the Annonciade Museum offers an interesting collection of paintings from the late 19th century to the early 20th. I enjoyed admiring the works by Matisse, Bonnard, Signac, and Derain, whose bright and colorful pieces perfectly depict the setting of the French Riviera. There are not many paintings, so the visit only takes about an hour. For 5€ (about $5.40), I recommend it if you are an art lover.

I went there with my nieces, who are huge butterfly fans. Conceived by the painter Dany Lartigue, this small, unusual pavilion offers an impressive collection of butterflies from all over the world. I appreciated how the subject was handled, as it was both poetic and scientific, which works for kids and adults alike. The signs are sometimes very cluttered, which makes it hard to see everything properly. However, it is a very pleasant exhibit with welcoming staff that presents beautiful insects as a source of happiness. For €2, it is worth doing!

I love maritime museums and I had already visited the one in Paris. While the one in Toulon is smaller, it is definitely worth the visit. It houses a magnificent collection of models, some of them gigantic, and features impressive reconstructions, especially of a galley, and provides information on the rise of the navy in the city under the guidance of Vauban. The second floor focuses on the modern era. I loved the full-size control panel from the Charles de Gaulle.

A pretty interesting museum for understanding and getting a feel for the history of the Camargue. I really liked the period artifacts and being able to see old photos in large format. The explanations were genuinely fascinating and detailed. Especially since no aspect is left out. I found it to be a fascinating complement to my outdoor walks. The real plus: the option to take a walk outside. You get to enjoy the Camargue nature even more with a lovely view!
