The Matalascanas beach resort isn't worth it, it's a dated and very cramped urban area. However, its location is top notch! You have direct access to beautiful beaches and you are right at the gates of the Donana National Park. I was able to go on an endless hike between the dunes and the ocean, you quickly get away from civilization and nature quickly takes over! The sunset from the beach is really worth the trip.

Large sandy beach located in a quiet area away from the development. I prefer it to its neighbor Monsul, which is technically more popular but was much windier (at least on the day we visited).

Beautiful beach with rocks, cliffs, and a natural setting with no concrete. A scene from The Last Crusade was filmed there. However, there was a lot of wind, sea spray, and a strong current. We left pretty quickly. A few minutes away, the neighboring beach of Los Genoveses was much calmer and better for swimming.
