Probably the best viewpoint for the two salt flats, Uyuni and Coipasa, but you really have to earn it!! Not only to get to the nearest village, but then the climb up this glacier, which is admittedly not very technical, is still a glacier climb in all its glory. The upside is that you will be completely alone in the world, since this summit is still unknown!!

A short hike up the hill with some elevation to catch a beautiful view of the village of Copacabana and Lake Titicaca at sunset. The view is certainly beautiful, but you have to look past the path to get there, which has become very touristy. Travelers are walking in a single file line, we saw a fair amount of trash on the path, and there are also Yatiri (Aymara priests) who will stop you to offer to read your fortune.

The legendary Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters above sea level, offers a most peaceful and relaxing stay in Bolivia. This expanse of water, a beautiful deep blue, contrasts with the snow-capped mountains in the background, where you can admire several peaks of the Cordillera Real. Eating a trout caught in the lake, walking along the shores to connect with local communities, sailing across the water on a catamaran, wandering through little paths and organic farms in the villages, climbing hills for even better views, and also living your stay in total immersion with a local family... so many options for an unforgettable time!

If there is one must-see in Bolivia, this is definitely it. Simply because there is nowhere else in the world with a salt flat as large and as magical. Atypical islands (like Cactus Island) and the Tunupa volcano, which borders the Salar, offer extraordinary panoramas of the desert. In the rainy season, the spectacle is unique, since the flooded desert transforms into a giant mirror and offers incredible reflections. To complete the experience, a night in a salt hotel is highly recommended. The salt desert is certainly becoming more touristy, but there is always a way to go against the flow of tourists when you are with the right agency and the right drivers ;)

Tarija, a small colonial city with a warm climate surrounded by vineyards, is known for being the capital of smiles (and the prettiest girls) in Bolivia! A few key sites to visit in the city include the Casa Dorada, the Castillo Azul, the main square Luis de Fuentes, the cathedral, the San Roque Church, and the Loma de San Juan viewpoint. Located in the intermediate valleys, with a temperate climate and altitude, Sucre is a city where life is good and you will have a very pleasant stay. There are several activities available to you: get lost among the colonial streets and buildings of the White City, stroll around the main square surrounded by beautiful buildings, visit the Casa de la Libertad where the independence of Bolivia was signed, visit the indigenous art museums and discover the Jalq'a culture, or even take a walk at the Recoleta or Simon Bolivar park.... And in the surroundings of Sucre, wonderful treks are possible in the Cordillera de Los Frailes, on the tracks of the dinosaurs...

Only 150km from La Paz, Copacabana offers a real vacation vibe thanks to its location on the shores of Lake Titicaca and its various boho-style bars, restaurants, and cafes. It is above all the essential starting point for Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna (a port with both public and private boats). There are also some lovely hikes on the mountains surrounding the town, as well as a visit to the Basilica which houses the famous Virgin of Copacabana (the Patron Saint of Bolivia).
