Prague is a very beautiful city in Eastern Europe. But hey, not everything is perfect, and once you have visited the must-see spots, I couldn't really find those little "off the beaten path" things that make you feel truly attached to certain cities. That being said, I recommend the city without hesitation for a weekend. And maybe give it a try in the winter, with the Christmas markets, the vibe must be different.

For someone like me who loves exploring a city on foot, it is a real joy to walk around Rome. You can wander for hours without having seen it all :) One thing though, everyone keeps raving about Italian food to me, and even though I tried a few highly rated restaurants, well, no ecstasy on that front.

If you are into old stones and history, you cannot help but be moved when visiting Athens. You are walking where the first true European civilization developed (there were others before, but on other continents). I would advise against coming in July or August, though, because the heat is stifling. And do not expect to find the remains of antiquity intact either. Time has taken its toll.

Everything is in the title. Paris has seen a succession of different dynasties of kings, leaders, eras, styles, movements, and so on. From a city mixing a lot of things with varying degrees of success, Haussmann made it into a modern, beautiful, and functional city (imagine the city without sewers, without straight and clear roads for easy traffic). Thanks to him!
