10 minutes from the train station (which is a UNESCO World Heritage site), this is a city center stadium, owned by Racing Club de Lens, and it is constantly sold out. The atmosphere is warm (as long as you do not show up wearing the colors of Paris or, and especially, Lille... ^^), colorful, and enthusiastic (except perhaps for the upper section of the main stand, the Lepagnot, which struggles to keep up with its noisy neighbors?). This stadium is a must see at least once in your life, without a doubt, whether you go as a couple, with family, with friends, or even with the fans of both teams!!!

I participated in the famous Marseille-Cassis race, and the official start is right in front of the Orange Vélodrome stadium. It is a must-see spot in Marseille, especially iconic for soccer fans. The stadium is truly imposing. Seen from the outside, you feel almost tiny. I did not have the chance to tour it, but I can easily imagine the incredible atmosphere on match nights. The vibe at the start of the race was exceptional, in any case.

The Groupama Stadium blew me away with how ultra-modern it is. Everything is huge, clean, and perfectly organized, from the esplanade to the stands, with incredible visibility no matter where you are sitting. I also really liked everything around it in the OL Vallée area, like the shops, activities, and dining spots. It is almost like a small city.

The Stade de France is a bit too big for my taste, I definitely prefer smaller stadiums or venues. You have to admit though that the atmosphere is incredible, especially during a French national team game. On the other hand, a huge downside is the city itself. It is not a good idea to hang around the area near the stadium, and I always rush to get home as fast as possible.

When there is a big match at the Parc des Princes for an important competition, the atmosphere is seriously wild and every action on the field gets us buzzing. That is provided you are seated well, because like in any stadium, being behind the goals is not very fun. The area around the Parc des Princes is not very reassuring either, despite the heavy police presence.

I visited during a professional convention, and the Parc des Princes offered us a guided tour of the behind-the-scenes areas: the pitch, the locker rooms, the treatment rooms, and the hallway tracing the history of PSG jerseys. It was a great opportunity to see the original jerseys from so close up. The tour lasts about twenty minutes and is a nice way to take a break during your day. For soccer fans or just the curious, it is worth the trip.

The golden age of the Jules Deschaseaux stadium is unfortunately over. Since the construction of the Stade Océane, there are hardly any events here anymore. Since 2012, it has been used for the rugby section of the HAC. Only memories of a time gone by remain. Keep moving, there are prettier places to see in Le Havre, like the Abbaye de Graville, not far from the Jules Deschaseaux stadium.

Surely one of the most iconic French stadiums! I am not much of a soccer fan, but I have been there several times for rugby matches or concerts, like Mylène Farmer. The size of the site always impresses me. While the seat comfort and cleanliness leave a little to be desired, it is an exceptional venue for experiencing events in a wild atmosphere. You have to get good seats to really enjoy it though, because from up high, you really do not see much. Fortunately, there are big screens. I would not recommend going with small children, because there can sometimes be crowd surges.
