Visiting the GoodPlanet Foundation, an ecological oasis near Paris

A few miles from the center of Paris, within the protected Longchamp estate, the GoodPlanet Foundation, established by photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand, offers an immersive deep dive into ecology and sustainable development. The site welcomes visitors interested in environmental conservation and those looking to better understand the issues facing our planet.

Exhibitions and environmental awareness

The foundation regularly hosts photography exhibitions, documentary screenings, and artistic installations centered on environmental themes. Each exhibition aims to educate the public on current ecological challenges, such as global warming, biodiversity preservation, or sustainable agriculture. The space places a strong emphasis on a pedagogical approach that remains accessible to everyone.

Among the foundation's most popular activities are its participatory workshops. These sessions are designed for both adults and children, covering concrete topics like organic gardening, home composting, and vegetarian cooking. Led by passionate facilitators, these workshops provide practical tips you can easily implement in your daily life.

The GoodPlanet Foundation spans a vast, protected natural space that is ideal for a relaxing walk. Created by Yann Arthus Bertrand

The GoodPlanet Foundation, dreamed up by the famous photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand, is still not very well known in Paris. You can see the artist's various works there, especially the film Human, which gives a voice to 2,000 citizens of the world. I also did a fun scavenger hunt in the park. Take advantage of the regular events (concerts, brunches made with healthy products...).
It is located right in the Bois de Boulogne, which is a great excuse to keep the walk going.

Informative, educational, and pleasant

Located in the Bois de Boulogne, not too far from the Pont de Suresnes, this foundation is a kind of cultural center where you can check out a vegetable garden, watch screenings, see photo exhibits, attend lectures, and do workshops on the themes of nature, ecology, and sustainable development. Admission is free. On site, you can also sign your child up for free to participate in ecology awareness workshops. There is also a park that is lovely to visit. A place to add to your list of regular walks to take.
