When to Visit Lake Manyara?
The best season to visit the park is from June to October, during the dry season. Animals congregate near the lake and remaining water holes, making them easier to spot.
From November to April, the rains transform the landscape and attract thousands of migratory birds. This is a greener period, ideal for photography and birding.
How to Access the Park?
Lake Manyara National Park is just 120 km from Arusha. It is one of the most accessible parks from Arusha. Plan for about 1.5 hours of driving via the A104 to reach the main gate.
Many agencies offer day excursions or circuits combined with Ngorongoro and Serengeti.
Infrastructure and Accommodations
The park has scenic viewpoints, picnic areas, and restrooms. Lodges and campsites in Mto wa Mbu accommodate visitors wishing to stay longer in the region.

In my opinion, Lake Manyara National Park, while charming, is not a must-see in Tanzania. It is neither the largest nor the richest in terms of wildlife. You see few animals there compared to other parks like the Serengeti or Tarangire.
Only visit if you have extra time. It is a nice bonus, but not essential.
