Visiting Veltins-Arena, an icon of German soccer

Veltins-Arena, located in Gelsenkirchen, stands as one of the most recognizable stadiums in Germany. A visit here puts you right in the middle of German soccer history and the intense atmosphere surrounding the local team, FC Schalke 04.

A state of the art modern stadium

With a capacity of 62,271 seats, it features a retractable roof that can fully enclose the pitch during inclement weather. Unexpected experience

Honestly, the Schalke 04 club and its stadium are far from being the most well-known, and I was not expecting much when I went to see a Bundesliga match there. Well, it was a huge surprise. The atmosphere was intense, loud but friendly, and the stadium is super cool with impressive dimensions and shapes (there is even a retractable roof). Very pleasant surprise!
