About this property
Accommodation category
Resort
A 5-star Atlantic resort sitting right between Rabat and Casablanca.
The location
Skhirat sits midway between Rabat and Casablanca, roughly 40 km from each. The resort occupies the town's beachfront zone directly on the Atlantic Ocean, away from the urban center. From Rabat-Salé, expect about a thirty-minute drive via the highway, and from Casablanca, about 45 minutes.
The immediate surroundings consist of a residential beach resort area, offering few shops within walking distance but a beach accessible right from the property grounds.
Rooms and comfort
The 176 rooms and suites come in several categories, all featuring a balcony or terrace. The sea-view and garden-view rooms start at 40 m², a generous layout for a standard category. The Senior and Diplomatic suites step up to 65 m², offering more room to truly settle in. At the top end, the Ocléan Suite provides direct beach access, while the Villa Royale reaches 320 m² with a private pool.
Every room includes air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a minibar, a safe, and satellite TV. Views depend on the unit's orientation toward the sea, garden, or town, making it worth specifying your preference when booking if an Atlantic view matters to you.
Food and drink
L'Amphitrite Palace Resort & Spa houses several dining venues on-site. The main restaurant serves buffet-style meals featuring a mix of Moroccan and international dishes.
A bar is also open for drinks and snacks outside of regular meal hours.
Breakfast comes as a buffet, though inclusion depends on your booking package, so check your rate details when reserving.
Services and extras
Beyond the beach, the resort packs enough amenities that you won't really need to leave. The spa and pools anchor the wellness setup, backed by multiple on-site dining spots. The conference and convention center brings in a steady stream of corporate groups and seminar attendees.
Friendly tip: If you're traveling with family or friends without a car, check shuttle or transfer options ahead of time from Rabat or Casablanca. Skhirat is a quieter coastal spot with limited public transit, and taking a taxi from the capital can add up fast.
Who it suits
L'Amphitrite Palace is built for travelers looking for an all-inclusive beach getaway without a long journey, backed by full resort amenities. It is not the right fit if you want to step outside into the middle of a lively town or pack light.
The pros

- Travelers coming from Europe: less than 3 hours of flight time and minimal time zone changes
- Groups and corporate events thanks to the integrated convention spaces

The cons
- Skhirat is a quiet beach town, meaning limited nightlife outside the resort property
- Not suited for travelers wanting to explore Rabat or Casablanca on foot straight from the hotel
- 5-star pricing means a significant budget, especially during the peak summer season

The highlights of the hotel are its facilities. Large rooms with a terrace, shower and bathtub, comfortable bed, AC... The common areas feature a small pool with an ocean view, a seaside restaurant, and private beach access.
On the other hand, the location felt relatively isolated to me. You will need a vehicle to see a bit of the country and find some activities. I found the meals a bit disappointing given the hotel's standard, except for the breakfast.
