Resort
Five-star hotel in a sprawling Hivernage resort, featuring lush gardens, a spa, and an on-site casino.
The location
The resort sits in l'Hivernage, a residential neighborhood lined with palm and orange trees, removed from the noise of the souks while remaining just a few hundred metres from their entrance. place Jemaa el-Fna is about a ten-minute walk down avenue Mohammed V. Marrakech Menara airport is roughly a nine-minute drive away, making late arrivals or early departures much easier to manage.
Right around the property, l'Hivernage features several high-end hotels, a few restaurants, and shops, all without the constant bustle of the Medina. It provides a practical middle ground: you can dive into the souks in the morning and return to a quiet area by evening.
Rooms and comfort
The 5-star hotel section of the resort houses rooms and suites in a building separate from the Palace. Categories range from superior rooms to suites, all featuring a mix of zellige tilework, woodwork, and Moroccan textiles. Beds are comfortable, air conditioning runs quietly, and most units face the grounds or gardens.
For more independence, the resort also offers villas and ksars complete with private outdoor areas.
Friendly tip: When booking, ask for a garden-facing room rather than a street-facing one. The difference in noise levels is significant, particularly in the evening when the casino and nightclub are open.
Food and drink
The resort features several dining spots split between the Hotel and the Palace: a dinner-only restaurant, a cabaret restaurant, and several bars. Breakfasts are typically served buffet-style, though whether they are included in your rate depends on the package selected at booking. Anything outside your specific plan is billed as an extra.
Friendly tip: Check when booking whether breakfast is included in your rate, as packages vary by season and room type, and the price difference can be significant at a property of this caliber.
Services and extras
The resort features several pools set across the grounds, a fitness center, and access to the Palace spa (extra charge). Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 12:00 PM.
Beyond that, the casino, nightclub, and bars make Es Saadi almost entirely self-sufficient in the evening, so you do not necessarily need to leave the grounds for after-dinner entertainment.

The Es Saadi hotel feels like something straight out of the Arabian Nights. The traditional decor is stunning. Our room was an executive suite, and it measured about 860 square feet. The room was split into two parts, a bedroom area and a tea lounge area. The room had a balcony with a view of the garden. The bathroom offered a lovely bathtub and a shower. The hotel offered services like the spa, which we were lucky enough to try. Right next to the hotel, there is a casino and a nightclub. Great nighttime activities to check out!
