Where to stay in Chessy: the best neighbourhoods (2026)
Chessy has a population of 2,582 and one of the highest concentrations of hotels in France. The town is home to Disneyland Paris, its RER and TGV train station, a historic village located 1.6 km northwest of that station, and the edge of the new Val d'Europe neighborhood. Only two hotels actually have a Chessy address. All the others sit in Coupvray, Magny-le-Hongre, Serris, or Bailly-Romainvilliers.
Finding a room is hardly the challenge since thousands are available. The real choice here comes down to your distance from the park gates and whether you get early park entry. Val d'Europe offers chain hotel rooms starting around 70 EUR outside of school breaks. A lakeside Disney hotel typically starts closer to 150 EUR. Four distinct sectors, ranked from closest to most affordable.
Like many others, we have seen prices and crowds increase in recent years. The experience is definitely high quality, and the magic happens as soon as you arrive on site, but the days when we could afford to splurge are behind us!

Around Lake Disney Chessy and Coupvray, a 5 to 20 minute walk from the gates

Six Disney hotels form an arc around an artificial lake, sitting between the train station and the parks. The Disneyland Hotel is the only one whose facade acts as a grand gateway, as the entrance to Disneyland Park runs directly beneath its windows. The other five line the lake, and you can walk to them from the parks, stretching from the Newport Bay Club all the way down to the Hotel Santa Fe. Along with the cottages in Bailly-Romainvilliers, these are the only addresses in our guide that include early park entry. The downside comes down to two simple facts: no other area costs as much, and once the day ends, the Disney Village dining district is the only place within walking distance for an evening out.

The hotel actually spans the entrance to Disneyland Park, something no other property in the guide can claim. It sits at the very top of the pricing scale, and it is also the only place where you arrive straight from the train platform without crossing a single road.
Disney Newport Bay Club Mid-range
A large American coastal resort dropped onto the southern shore of the lake in Coupvray. Expect a 15 minute walk to the parks along the promenade, or the internal shuttle bus when it rains.
Disney Hotel Santa Fe Budget
The lowest entry price for a Disney hotel, styled like a Southwestern motel and also located in Coupvray. Expect a 20-minute walk to the parks, which is the longest trek in the area.

- You pay more for a room here than anywhere else around the parks
- Four of the six Disney hotels are actually in Coupvray, not Chessy

Only one street makes up this area: the avenue de la Fosse des Pressoirs lines up four themed hotels, two of which total nearly 800 rooms between them. The Dream Castle leans into a castle aesthetic, the Grand Magic Hotel goes for a circus theme across 396 rooms, the Explorers Hotel opts for a pirate ship vibe with an indoor water park, and the Campanile Val de France rounds out the row. These are official partner hotels of Disneyland Paris, meaning the shuttle to the parks is free and takes about 10 minutes. This is where you will find connecting rooms that sleep an entire family, something the lake hotels cannot match at this price point.

A 399-room 4-star hotel in Magny-le-Hongre styled like a French castle, complete with formal gardens and an indoor pool. The shuttle to the parks is free, and parking is also free when you book direct.
Explorers Hotel Mid-range
A 3-star hotel in Magny-le-Hongre built entirely around kids, complete with a pirate-themed water park. Connecting rooms sleep up to 10 people, and their free shuttle takes under 10 minutes to reach the parks.
B&B HOTEL près de Disneyland Paris Budget
The budget option on avenue de la Fosse des Pressoirs in Magny-le-Hongre. No themed decor, no pool, but it shares the same free shuttle as its flashier neighbors at a fraction of the cost.

You can spend an entire evening away from the parks here, something no other area offers, featuring a shopping mall, a supermarket, late-night restaurants, an aquarium, and the outlet stores of La Vallée Village. The Val d'Europe train station is just one stop from Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy, the end of the line. You pay for a room without the themed branding markup, and it shows on the bill. The catch: the neighborhood is brand new and planned all at once, so while you will sleep soundly, it lacks traditional neighborhood strolls.
We often pack our bags for Chessy when we want to enjoy the Disney parks. Renting a place just a stone's throw from the parks is a really good alternative.

A 4-star aparthotel on rue des Grands Prés featuring in-room kitchens, a pool, and a spa. Its address is actually in Chessy, making it the only spot in the guide located directly in town outside of the Disney properties. It is a partner hotel, meaning a free shuttle is included.
Hôtel l'Elysée Val d'Europe Mid-range
A 152-room 4-star hotel on cours du Danube in Serris, just steps from the shopping mall. Rooms sleep from 1 to 4 guests, and up to 8 with connecting rooms. On-site restaurant, bar, and free parking.
EKLO Marne-la-Vallée Budget
The most budget-friendly pick in the guide, located on avenue du Couternois in Serris with a purposely bare-bones setup ranging from single beds to studio apartments with kitchenettes. Not a partner hotel, so no Disney shuttle; you will need a car or the public bus.

- Restaurants, a supermarket, and a shopping mall within walking distance
- Only one RER train stop away from the park entrance
- The guide's lowest price point is found right here
Cons
- None of the addresses offer early park admission
- Walking to the park entrance is out of the question, requiring the RER train or a shuttle instead
- A brand new neighborhood, pleasant to live in but missing historic streets
Bailly-Romainvilliers and the woods 5 km southeast of the train station, car required
for a weeklong stay, complete with a kitchen and a day away from the theme park gates
Past the golf course, rows of hotels give way to woodlands and ponds. Here you rent cottages and bungalows instead of standard rooms, complete with full kitchens, multiple rooms, and parking right outside your door. You can easily fill an entire day without park tickets, splitting time between the indoor lagoon at Aqua Mundo and the farm at Villages Nature Paris, something none of the other three areas offer. The price tag comes up in half the reviews our members left for this resort, and many activities cost extra on top of your stay.
Plenty of activities are available, but most cost extra, so while it sounds great on paper, you will get a reality check if your entire budget went toward lodging like mine did.

Cottages and apartments with kitchens spread around a lake in Bailly-Romainvilliers, featuring the Aqua Mundo indoor lagoon and a petting farm. This is the only place in our guide that is not a Disney hotel yet still includes early park entry.
Disney Davy Crockett Ranch Mid-range
Wooden cabins tucked into the woods of Bailly-Romainvilliers, each with its own kitchen and parking space. This is the only Disney hotel you cannot reach on foot or via shuttle, requiring a car and a 15-minute drive to the gates.
ACE Hôtel Paris Marne-la-Vallée Budget
A 76-room 3-star hotel on boulevard des Artisans in the Bailly-Romainvilliers business park, sitting under 6 km from the parks. There are no kitchens and minimal decor, and you take a public bus instead of a private hotel shuttle, but prices here hit the lowest point in the area.

- A full kitchen and multiple rooms mean you can save money on meals instead of paying park prices
- Plenty to keep you busy for an entire day without buying a park ticket
- Early park entry for Villages Nature Paris and Davy Crockett Ranch

Our tips for booking the right place
- The train straight to the park gates: Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy station handles both RER and TGV trains and sits right at the entrance of the parks, meaning a stay here goes smoothly without a car, which is unusual for a town of 2,582 residents. The first three areas in this guide connect easily on foot, via free shuttle, or with a single RER stop. The fourth area, in Bailly-Romainvilliers, is the only one that genuinely requires a vehicle. Save the car rental for that sector instead of keeping one for the whole trip.
- The calendar before the hotel: Four of our members share the exact same advice: visit during the week, outside of school breaks. One member even points out her recommended window between mid-January and mid-March, or in September, while another warns that skipping this step turns the dream into a nightmare due to the sheer crowds. Heavy attendance does not just lengthen lines, it dictates your room rate. Pick the date first and the hotel second.
- Dinner, decided before arrival: Several of our members talk about meals and their costs. One suggests eating lunch early around 11:00 or 11:30 AM on busy days to avoid wasting half the afternoon waiting. Another recommends booking dinner tables well in advance to enjoy a genuine break away from the crowds before the parade. If planning every single meal feels exhausting, sleep in Val d'Europe where finding a table for dinner without a reservation remains possible.
- Booking a partner hotel while assuming it grants early park entry: that perk belongs strictly to Disney hotels and Villages Nature Paris. A partner hotel provides a free shuttle, not an extra hour in the park. This is the area's most expensive misunderstanding because travelers usually only discover it on their first morning.
- Choosing Davy Crockett Ranch without a car: it is the only Disney accommodation with neither pedestrian access nor a shuttle, sitting a 15-minute drive from the parks. Over the course of several nights, taxi fares wipe out the savings that made you pick it in the first place.
- Drop your bags here only if you are planning something other than the parks. As one member in our community put it straight up: "the Chessy area exists only for Eurodisney: the hotels, the restaurants, the shops". For a trip to Paris, the capital is 45 minutes away by RER train and the options there are on a completely different scale.
